    From the Chicago Tribune.

I know Cutler already has alienated enough small pockets of fans at various appearances in Chicago to produce a flurry of furious e-mails, such as the one from a guy at Wrigley Field last week who criticized the quarterback for waving off autograph seekers. "His lack of appreciation for fans will be his undoing in Chicago," Glen. R. wrote me.

We'll see, but if Cutler experiences an undoing in Chicago it will have more to do with the people on the field than in the stands. Generally speaking, the same folks complaining about Cutler's insouciant behavior will be cheering him on his first 350-yard Sunday.

Sure, Cutler could do himself some favors by exuding more charm or suffering the occasional fool with a little less outward disdain. But those who have been Bears fans for two decades, or two generations, need to remember Cutler has been here for two months. There will be -- and has been -- a degree of culture shock. Denver isn't Chicago. Eventually, Cutler will adjust because he will learn life is easier that way in this tradition-rich football city. If he doesn't, then he will get what he deserves.

Ya know, Cutler grew up in Santa Claus, IN. Probably has had a bit of inter-action with the type of fan that roots for da Bears.

Cutler's issue is that he is a spoiled prima donna brat. Million dollar arm, $2 head.

Don't worry the Donks will still find a way to draft screw ups.

I'm sure kicking Kyle Orton's *** will help you feel better.

Especially when he doesn't complete 18 passes to Brandon Marshall in one game.

Yeah that is what the media is saying. Randy Cross on Serius today was blasting him for not calling back his ownere (Bowens) and having an attitude problem.

Good to hear a talking head finally calling it like it is. Even if it is Cross...

Dukes is so goddamn terrible at this job, no wonder he relates to Cutler so much.

    Dukes + Cutler = Madden + Favre

Is gay marriage legal in Illinois? Maybe that's why Jamie is so happy Jay got traded there...

What will be interesting is to see how he does with no WRs worth a **** to throw to and a CB/WR in Hester.

He is a punk and Chi will soon learn just how much.

While I will miss the dunce expression on Cutler's face when he did foul up, I'll never understand why so many Chargers fans are so distraught over the Donkeys replacing a 4,000 yard throwing pro bowl QB with a journey-man scrub like Kyle Orton.

Cutler might take a step back in Chicago because he doesn't have anyone to throw to, but that's not really a knock on his own ability.

Right on the nose. Unless the D gets so good that it can over come his late game meltdowns...

The Broncos got significantly better by getting rid of Cutler. That makes me hate him even more.

    Fuc.k him.

It shouldn't be much of a challenge for them to be twice as good as Denver's D was for him. :icon_shrug:

I'm sure it was Cutler's fault Denver gave up 28 points a game.

    His record or Vandy's record?

If we're going to blindly look at team records, Philip Rivers was no better than Jay Cutler last year. (at least not in the regular season.)

Also, since a QB is apparently only as good as his team's overall performance, I guess Trent Dilfer was a better QB than Dan Fouts.
