During the last weekend in June, more than 150 children got the experience of their young lifetimes: to see, hear and learn from something they only see on TV - real NFL players. The children were participants in "Make it Happen" football camp, the brainchild of former Vanguard High School standout Drayton Florence, a starting cornerback with the San Diego Chargers.....

Good for him, but Florence needs to spend as much time practicing since I am tired of his sub par play

He'll be the #2 CB until Cromartie gets up to speed on the secondary.

Then D'Flo may be relegated to nickel back status as soon as the second half of this season.

That is what I think will happen too. Florence would make a decent backup CB, but that is about it. I hope he proves me wrong this season, but I doubt he will

I am not so quick to give up on D-Flo. The dude has talent and flashes greater athletic ability than Jammer at times.

I still think D-Flo is a natural FS.

I had not thought of D-Flo as a FS but he would be a good fit.

Moving Jammer to FS, which I have read posted by others, is insane unless we have a corner to replace him with better skills.

I think that would be bad. Florence cannot tackle worth a damn. I don't want him as our last line of defence going 1 on 1 with a RB

I just don't see that happening at all this year. I think Cromartie, despite all his physical skills, will be the Nickle this entire year. His lack of experience is just to great. If you are right....and he can pull it off mid-season, I would be very surprised. But I would have never thought Merriman would be a Pro Bowler in his first year either. But then again, he actually started several games in college prior to entering the NFL.

I have never seen D-Flo as a bad tackler. He gets lost at times on the field.

I have seen people run right by him. Maybe it is just he takes bad angles, and has to dive for people, but he doesn't tackle anything like Jammer
