Wide Receiver Danario Alexander[IMG] suffered a torn right ACL during Tuesday’s practice. No corresponding move has been made.
We will have more information on Chargers.com as it becomes available.

sucks, but at least he wasn't signed for that much, good thing there is depth at the position, now either Willie, DePalma or Goodman will make the team

5 operations on the left knee, it's not like it's a huge surprise. Lucky he stayed healthy as long as he did. I feel bad for the guy. Great talent, hard worker, just a bum knee

If we only had signed Tebow, he could've laid hands on him....... Oh well.

This happened on the opposite knee.

The 3rd round signing of Keenen Allen is looking better and better by the minute. Luckily this is the deepest position on our roster. Unfortunately, I concur this makes Meachem's spot on the roster pretty safe now. I have to say I couldn't believe this news when I saw it. Horrible, had such high hopes for DX this year. :(

Still not that surprising given injury history and the pressure on the healthy knee over the years.

But the depth behind him is good. Unlike last year's Gaither fiasco, the Chargers backed up one of their more injury prone starters.

As far as Meacham, he says he wants to prove himself. Let's hope he does, or that Royal or Brown comes back well. Otherwise M80 is going to be targeted too often.

    Ridiculous.

Thank God for depth at the WR position, but also like I've been saying, every other WR on the roster has their injury bug. Just a matter of time when we go into a game with Dan DePalma and Mike Willie as our starters.

What is it with Torn ACL's? Taylor, Ingram, Mouton and now DX.

A some people wanted this guy locked up long term, Telesco looks like a genius once again.

Don't be surprised if the Chargers take a look at Brandon Lloyd, his best season of his career came under McDaniels and McCoy in Denver.

Poor kid. Has put in a lot of hard work to get back to where he is, and in a blink it's all gone. Hope he gets another shot. I am excited however to see more of Brown this year.

It be interesting to get a count of all the torn ACLs that have happened thus far. Wouldn't be surprised if there was more than 30 of them. Insane.

I know we don't need him. But he has been a pretty reliable target last 3 seasons. Reeling in over 200 catches for over 3,000 yards and 20 TD's. Only missing 5 games over that span. Look at everyone one of our WR's, all have missed 5 or more games in a SINGLE season the last 3 years.

Yeah but we've done so well keeping those kind of selfish personalities off this roster this offseason...

I still like LaDarius Green as a TE/WR hybrid, I think Woodhead offers a lot in the screen game and can split out wide, and don't forget Gates will probably be Rivers 1st progression anyway even if we had Alexander. I don't think we need to sign any WRs to replace him, we just gotta look towards guys like Willie and DePalma.

Not to call this a huge loss, but yeah, it's pretty big. Given the uncertainty surrounding PR17's effectiveness in TC (some are reporting he's doing badly, some say otherwise, either way, I don't know who to trust), having DX around would've been great for Rivers.

Just more reps for VB and Keenan Allen now, I suppose.

    **EDIT**

Does anyone remember how much his RFA tender was? I don't recall it being steep at all, but at least we didn't spend too much money on him.

According to this, Rivers has been looking really sharp. Sounds like today might of been one of his best days in camp. He looked really good in yesterdays highlight video as well.
