To be honest, Bly didn't make a difference at all. His play did not warrant the donk fans' excitement, and if it weren't for Gates breaking Bailey and co. all day, VJ would've put up even bigger numbers on Bly.

Champ and Bly hurt themselves that game, probably from all the juke moves and ankle-breaking that Gates and VJ were doing to them.

Yeah, Gates made Bailey look like a fool, and Bly looked clueless as how to cover VJ even before he started limping. Maybe they were faking the injuries to avoid further embarassment.:bolt:

The Donks also had several other players get injured and are still out. Man the Bolts really beat them up last week. :flag:

I think their season is going to start circling the bowl. Their D is a mess and the O prob with Henry looking like he is going to get suspended. Walker gimpy. Nalen gone. It is not pretty in Denver.

I'll agree there. He should watch film of his teammate Gates catching the ball, and do a "I wanna be like Gates."

I'd been telling Donky fans for months that Dre Bly was a overrated selfish piece of crap, and that the Chargers recievers (though inept at times) match up perfectly with him.
You can imagine they're dissapointment when I was proved right.

That is Lofton's job. Does he teach these guys anything? The way the WRs play, I am doubting his ability to teach these guy how to properly catch a fuking ball.

His ONLY coaching exp has been with the Chargers.

    From Chargers Web Site:
    :icon_huh: :icon_wtf:

Based on what I have seen him do with the WRs, I don't think he is getting it done AND to think he thought he was going to be the Raiders HC. :icon_rofl:

Dude has never been more than a Position coach and he doesn't seem all that good. :icon_shrug:

Was thinking the same when I saw that photo. I wonder if there is a front photo to see where his eyes are looking. He needs to learn more from Gates....he never catches anything other than with his hands.

    2 C Johnson 28 receptions 495 yards

    3 A Gates 40 receptions for 489 yards

Maybe after the Raiders game he will all WR

I know it's way too early for this but has a WR/TE ever won the MVP?

    1963(AFL)
    • Lance Alworth, WR - San Diego (United Press)

    1990
    • Randall Cunningham, QB - Philadelphia (Pro Football Writers Association of America)
    • Joe Montana, QB - San Francisco (Associated Press)
    • Jerry Rice, WR - San Francisco ("The Sporting News")

Not AP, so prolly not official NFL MVP. The AP votes that one.

Every Associated Press NFL MVP since 1957. No TE's or WR's on that list. It's primarily QB's and RB's. .... and one kicker.

I have to fully disagree with you on Lofton. He has done a great job with the Receivers, we are getting more YAC than before. He has tough them to catch the ball and keep momentum.

So what if he hasn't coached before? He played, he was a HOF receiver. He has been around coaches and seen it done for decades. People need to think back to the way the receivers were before Lofton. If they caught the ball that is where the play stopped. Now they catch the ball and move down the field.

Many of our players let the ball get into their body. LT did int he last game as did Gates. Go watch the game footage. VJ has done both, catch with his hand and in his body.

Cut the kid some slack, yeah he missed a sure TD against KC. Those are the breaks, but our receivers have been the most productive under Lofton since Tony Martin was here. I can knock Lofton or his coaching in the light of those facts.
