Depth on defense shows in win

    "Last year I was usually playing about 25 to 30 snaps," Cesaire said."  "Fortunately I was ready to go tonight."

    Cesaire serves as the team's top backup at both defensive end positions and also replaces Jamal Williams at defensive end on passing downs."  The Chargers dressed just five defensive linemen Monday, so when starting end Igor Olshansky went down with a knee injury on the opening series of the contest, Cesaire buttoned his chin strap and didn't undo it the rest of the night.</blockquote>
