Igor lined up over the outside shoulder of LG #65 Eric Steinbach.

Harris lined up over the outside shoulder of LT #77 Andrew Whitworth.

It was a deep stunt move from a 4-3 look by our defense.

Harris rushed straight up field, then spun clockwise and inwards towards the pocket. Whitworth followed him.

Igor rushed straight with an outside tact, and cut over the inside spin move of Harris. Steinbach stayed - tried to stay - with Igor.

IMO, the two OL could not have switched defenders, as trying to probably would have allowed Harris an easy free run at Palmer.

IMO, this was a designed play by Wade, not just an impromptu move by Harris. It is designed to hopefully get a switch (but not in time) thus allowing Harris an easy sack. The result was still a sack, because Igor just flat out beat Steinbach.

I don't think it was a designed stunt. It seemed like Harris kind of got stood up and just made a spin move to the inside to try and get free, while Igor rushed upfield to the outside of the guard and got to Palmer.

I don't know if I've ever seen a planned stunt that involved a spin move. If Wade designed that stunt it was genius.

Unless you can get a copy of Wade Phillips playbook we'll never know because it could seriously be either

I think both sides (designed/impromptu) could be argued. Regardless, it was a great individual effort by Igor vs. a quality opponent (Steinbach).

Igor just missed getting a second sack right after this play, but Palmer slid forward in the pocket and completed it to TJ for a first down on 3rd and 19.

I agree. Unless someone on the team comes out and says it was by design, or just how the play unfolded with individual efforts.

Until such confirmation, there is no "right" answer - just opinion.

I think that it was something Harris did on the fly. the spin move seems to be one of his favorites.

I watched the play a few times trying to figure out the same thing. I can see that it was possible a stunt to free Harris. I misunderstood the poll and thought you were asking if it was designed to free Igor.
