Safety Clinton Hart snagged a seemingly game-ending interception with about two minutes to go, then fumbled it away. The Bills arched their back and scored on a Losman pass to Peerless Price, slicing the lead to 24-21 and setting up an on-side kick.

Hart was in the middle again, covering up the effort then nearly getting his leg twisted off by Mario Haggan to force a fumble. Hart did let go, but officials ruled the play dead because the ball was touched by the kicking team before it had traveled 10 yards.

"That was a cheap, dirty shot,'' said guard Kris Dielman, with steam coming from his body and out his ears. "He's lucky he didn't get his (tail) kicked.''

Instead, the Chargers kicked it on the flight home, returning to where the thermometer is well above freezing and three of their final four regular-season games remain.

Yeah, they pray for no injuries yet try to purposely create one.

If it can be seen..that should be a fine.

maybe we need a Dick Williams type mentality on this team. You play that way and hurt us, then you'd better watch out because you're getting one right into your ear hole next time.

I think what they're praying for at the end of the game is for forgiveness for being such prick s.

I would hope someone would pop him one. Too bad it was the end of the game and no one could take a dive at his knees.

Not a big fan of the dirty plays(a la the Denver O-line), but if you're dishing it out you deserve to get it right back.

I was wondering why Hart looked so pissed off when he was riding off in the cart. If that is true, the league should come down HARD on that hijo de puta.

Purposely hurting a player. Fine and a Suspension.

I guess that's why Marty called the timout before the kneel down. He was worried that once the game ended a couple Defensive Players were going to rush that douche bag.

A few shots yeah, but grabing someones ankle and trying to twist it off?

There are lines in those situations and doing someting to end a guys season, is across the line.

Trying to rip a guy's ankle off does not happen in every pile. In the SDUT article today, Shaun Phillips said,

"We don't play like that. We're professionals here. To try to break somebody's ankle is a problem. If you want to give somebody a rib shot or pinch him, it's OK; it's part of the game. A little bit of cheap shots is going to take place. But you cannot, not under any circumstances, try to maliciously hurt anybody. You just don't do that. You're messing with a person's livelihood; he has a family. You don't do that to people.”

Everyone knows there are going to be cheapshots at the bottom of a pile. But twisting a guy's ankle like that is bush league.

Yeah, that **** happens. Even in HS we used to take shots a guys, but it was more about giving a little extra when you could, not fukin a guys season.

I was on both sides of that kind of stuff in high school, but no one ever tried to injure someone. I hope there is a tape that exists that shows what Mario Haggan did, and I hope that bastage gets fined/suspended for it.
