It was more of a combo shot which got TJ.....

Godfrey's knee to TJ's head is what did the damage and what caused his helmet to fly off.

I realize that but all the hoopla is over McCree. But then yet again the boys on ESPN don't care about who.....they just embrase the end result. As long as they have the show before the commish level the fine, then it is all legit up till that point.

because of how 'reprehensible and cheap' (their words, I thought it was a bad hit but not the above adjectives) it probably won't be in the running.

Having said all that TJ Housyamamah got jacked up

btw funny note; when they got back to the sidelines do you think the Bengal doctors asked him to spell his last name?

Fuc ESPN, the Bengals and their mocking our players and the NFL.

It was the play of the day IMO and the rest of our secondary should kick in some money to pay his fine. :bolt:

JMHO, but I believe that hit influenced the Henry drop in the end zone on that final drive.

McCree's hit won't be on ESPN's "Jacked Up!" segment for the same reason Chad Johnson's hit earlier this year wasn't, nor the one on Trent Green.

The hit was not illegal. That was all on the dikwad shitforbrains Dierdork over reacting. This is the same **** that said "Carson Plamer is a MAN!!" Dikwad must have some strong man crush on Palmer.

The penalty that was called was:
PENALTY on SD-M.McCree, Defensive Pass Interference,

They did not call a Personal Foul or Unnecessary Roughness.

He came in leading with his shoulder and also contacted helmets.

HE GO JACKED UP! Peroid. So get off my BOY!! He made a fuking play when all the other DBs were acting like pussies.

This has to be defender of the day!!! Way to defend your boy Kwak!

Seriously though, you are 100% correct. It wasn't an illegal hit. Just pass interference. Nice call!!!:icon_toast:

It was not an ILLEGAL HIT and that is what they are saying. It was PI. That is all.

There is a difference between an Illegal hit and a regular penalty. That is all it was a regular penalty.

Word. McCree lost sight of the ball so he took TJ out. It was the correct play to make and it led to Henry being a bit tentative in the end zone when he dropped the would be TD pass.

Dierdorf's overreaction was classic. He's such a schmuck.

Not so sure about that Hollywood. Usually they have calls such as personal foul Illegal contact blow to the head, or personal foul helmet to helmet (according to dongdorf) hit. You say tomato I say tomato. Penalty is a penalty but they do have specific language for "illegal" contact.:icon_shrug:

You guys can get technical all you like it was still an illegal play.

For the record, I don't think McCree was trying to "take him out" as some Bengals fans would suggest.

But I also don't think an illigitimate play should be celebrated.

Man, that hit was hot. Watching it in slo-mo, and the ball is like 2 feet away. They call it like he was nailing him while the ball was still in palmers hand. That ball was coming in hot and mcree was making a break on it. His timing was off by what, 1 tenth of a second??? And he lead with his shoulder and laid on a big hit. He could have lead with his helmet and broke tj's back if he wanted to.

And these crybaby bengals need to stfu and go look at the cheap shot they put down on Green who is still not playing. Fuggin hypocrits.

That was NOT a cheap shot.

Trent Green slid at the last possible second as the guy was coming in on him. Was he supposed to just stop in mid air?

Furthermore, Geathers was also hit from behind...into Trent.

Also, if you watch the play you can see Geathers even trying to veer his momentum at the last second as he sees Trent sliding...

Poor turn of events, but it was not a cheap shot.

:icon_shrug: Any time a defender is running like that towards a qb they know full well what they are doing. He wanted to take him out and that was his chance. Well, it worked. Whether it was a poor turn of events or not, you can decide for yourself, but what they did could have ended a career.

The NFL sells videos that contain incrediblyl illegal hits. McCree's hit wasn't illegal, the timing of it was. If he had waited a split second before blowing up TJ, it would have been an incomplete pass and no penalty.

had tj had the ball then mcree come in and knocked him out yeah he would've had a hit of the year
a few seconds is what changes a personal foul to a great play

It wasn't a personal foul. It was pass interference.
