Easily his best game of the season. Maybe his best in several seasons.

He did indeed play well. I still don't think that he is worth the contract he wants. I'm not a Donnie hater, in fact I have always liked him, but I just don't rate his current and likely future skills as highly as he does.

    Signing in.

I will admit he had a great game last night.

He is still history after this season though.

Donnie had his best game in quite awhile last night. Too bad I can't stop hating him. I think I'm addicted now.

Give it up BFIL. Folks around here only care about having someone who can blow up a blocker and tackle a guy backwards. Never mind that Donnie leads the team (3-4 years now) in tackles, I know I know...Donnie knows how to get tackles credited to him even though he doesn't make the tackle :icon_shrug: .

They want DB's that can catch the ball. Mind you, DB's should have better hands then LB and yet Donnie catches the ball. Now they complain that he couldn't tackle the QB but he still disrupted the play and we did get the sack. Like even Merriman has missed on occassion.

A lot of folks here complain that he isn't worth the money he is asking for, so let me ask this. What is Donnie worth based on his numbers over the past 4 years? He has better numbers then a lot of other LB's who make a lot more then him. Are they worth more just because they hit harder? Sure some of you may say that others are a playmaker but I will take an interception and a team leader in tackles over a guy that just hits hard. Luckily we have it all in Merriman. Donnie willing to take less money and I say lock him up.

Edwards has already been paid for those 4 years, he's an aging player, the question should be how much is he going to be worth in the future?

Seau was an aging player and everyone yelled & screamed when we let him go. Not to say that Donnie is better then JR but even though Donnie is aging he still makes the tackles, makes interceprions and still has decent speed and the one thing he has that JR had that only gets better with age is his smarts.

    Just saying.

I am surprised that you most of you hate the guy who has led the team in tackles the last 4 seasons or so? When it comes to the playoffs we are going to need a saavy veteran to help the young guys! I believe he had a great game last night, but his best game was his 20 tackle performance on the ROAD in Buffalo!

Donnie still has plenty in the tank. I for one am glad we've got him on the team and I hope there's a way that it can work out that he'll be back with us next year.

Why do you say the Buffalo game was his best performance?

I will admit that I thought he would never play here this season and I was okay with that..... but I'm glad things worked out the way they did. In fact, I wouldn't mind keeping him for next year or more. I just don't like the fact that he whined and *****ed in the media.... I also think he needs to be realistic in what he's asking for.

But he has done well this year. I give him credit for playing like he has through all of the mess.

The Ankle Biter had his best game since 2004.

As compubolt alluded to earlier, if the QB had been athletic (like we'll see in the postseason in McNair) he wouldn't have had that sack. Clutching and grabbing won't get it done.

One good game doesn't make a season, and he won't be back.

Donnie has one or two really good games a season. Too bad the KC game's performance isn't the norm.

If Donnie would just make it about 10 really good games a season, he would have gotten his contract extension last year and deserved to be one of the highest paid LBs in the game.
