    IMO

    Best case scenario

Chargers trade down with the viking (22th pick) who want to jump in front of the jets to get Josh Freeman, the Chargers also get the vikings 2th round pick (54th overall).

with the 22nd pick the Chargers draft Rey Maualuga (I want some nastiness in the D), and with the 54th pick they get a DE, S or OT (don't know who)

    Worst case scenario (plausible)

Chargers draft RB (Wells, Moreno) and trade future draft picks for some one like Laurinaitus (who reminds us what Ohio State LB's do in the NFL)

    What's yours?

    Best Case
We trade down with the eagles, get their 2nd, and then Pick Wells and Fili Moala with our top 2 picks

    Worst Case
We trade up for Tyson Jackson

    Best Case:
    1) We stay put and acquire Michael Oher or Andre Smith
    2) We trade down, can get Malauga, Moreno and get at least a second.

    Worst Case:
    1) No one will trade with us and we select Chris Wells
    2) No one trades and we overreach on someone like Ziggy Hood

Best Case: we trade down for a late first and gain a late second

Worst Case: We trade up or we sit still and draft a RB.

Best Case: We get a second round draft pick.

Worst: We give up too much for it.

That's the only way I see it.

    Best Case:
    1) We trade up to 11 and steal BJ Raji right out from under Denver's nose. (Very unlikely)
    2) We trade down....find a way to draft Maualuga in RD1, Luis Delmas in RD2, and Roy Miller in RD3.

    Worst Case:
    1) We sit still and draft Clay Mathews (who doesn't fit our scheme at all)
    2. We trade up to get Tyson Jackson.

    Love...
    the creativity,
the fact that Williams would FINALLY have a heir apparent,
    sticken it to the Donkos.

Unlikely? Yes. Downside? Yes. But as AJ said... you have absolutely no idea what I'm thinking.

    Funky fresh, Matilack.

Ohhh yeah...this takes me back. But this old post only makes me look about 50% stupid. I totally called Tyson Jackson being a bust, and equally missed on Clay Matthews. I just didn't buy him in the 3-4 at only 250 pounds (and rumors of steroids).

BTW I don't care what kind of contract Tyson Jackson signed in ATL, the guy is a massive disappointment.

Wow, talk about a trip down amnesia lane

Had the Chargers followed my instructions man......... never saw English coming and had to talk myself into understanding that pick. Dear Lord so many misses and so many picks wasted, and it would only get worse in 2011

Guys I have a feeling AJ might draft this guy from small school and end being a BUST for the Chargers. I don't know I was just daydreaming this in English class and hope it doesn't come true.

    Signed 2009 me.

I wanted Malauga in that draft and only because he was from USC. Ha I also wanted Taylor Mays as our SS, everyone was swearing he'd be the next Polomalu. Didn't even know who Clay was until the 2010 season on their SB run.

Wasn't on this board then, but I can tell you when our pick came up I was hoping for in order
    Maulaga
    Oher
    Beanie Wells
Nothing like a good 0-3. You can keep that in mind when considering my draft preferences lol

I was on the LeSean McCoy bandwagon early, I went so far as to compare him to LT, but I'm ashamed to admit the popular opinion of him (plus a poor combine showing) caused me to cave and lean toward Beanie Wells.

Now days I'm not very flexible when it comes to my stronger opinions of players. As the vets of this board well know. Haha

I was bar tending back then, when the first 3 rounds were on Saturday, I just remember our pick came up and I heard Larry English, my fist hit the bar along with a few expletives. People at the bar started cashing out, my manager came out and turned it off, said I wasn't allowed to watch it anymore lol

All I can say is your customers and manager are lightweights. Who hasn't seen their bartender go apesh1t on occasion?
