Howdy folks, I was told to come check out your board by a friend. Don't know his screen name, but he likes 'D-Cell' batteries and staring at fish in his underware. He'll speak up if he understands my code.

I notice some familiar names here from the UT board. Seems like you have a nice place here, I'll have to continue to check it out.

I sent this email off to Darren Smith on 1090, I think it is interesting so I thought I would offer it up to you folks. Let me know what you think:

I've heard many people mention the Charger's supposed 'easy schedule' and most of the time it is dismissed with the comment of 'you play the schedule your given'. While its true that there is nothing we can do about what teams we play, I started to wonder how much tougher NE's schedule was. So I put them side by side. Here it is, NE left, SD right:

DIDN"T PASTE IN RIGHT, SO IMAGINE SIDE BY SIDE SCHEDULES.

I don't see anything on the NE schedule that trumps the Chargers! Who the heck have THEY played? The only item that shines bright to me that we are missing is MAYBE Chicago. But even them NE played at home and we had to go to Seatle, so I almost consider them a wash. Lets dive a little deeper:

How many playoff teams did each squad play?

    NE: 3 (4 total games, 2 wins) SD: 3 (4 total games, 2 wins)

How many teams that were in the playoff hunt at week 16 or 17?

    NE: 10 (12 games, 9 wins) SD: 10 (12 games, 10 wins)

Junk teams that were out before week 16?

    NE: 3 (4 games, 3 wins) SD: 3 (4 games, 4 wins)

Looks like a fair balance to me!

How do you like DEM apples?
