I use Ebay and have been happy with buying tix on there and if you time it right you can score. Everybody was screaming about how tight it was for tix to the playoff game but I scored tix twice for slightly over face value; you just have to watch it.

I did well on ebay as well. I bought Steeler/Charger tickets for a little over face a few days before the contest. Just be careful and pay with paypal in case you get jobbed.

Also, good deals can be had during the summer when many season ticket holders sell off the seats they don't want. I got press seats to the Browns game for face value.

Just browsed Stub hub but most of them seem pretty expensive. No deals like you might find on ebay.

Does it really matter anymore since EBay is buying StubHub?

My guess is that once the merger is complete, all ticket type events (sports, concerts, theater, etc.) will be handled via StubHub.

I think Ebay is just that 5% or less that they charge for selling normal items.

However, as I said, once they fully incorporate StubHub into the fold, I can see them relegating all ticket sales from/to users to StubHub. So, if you want to sell or buy tickets on Ebay, you'll actually have to do it on StubHub, and they'll charge that extra large fee.

The merger/buyout announcement of StubHub was made back in January.

I don't know if Ebay actually intends to move all ticket sales/purchases to StubHub, but wouldn't be surprised if it ended up doing so in the next few months.

Ebay is probably eyeing the larger fees that StubHub gets versus their own that they charge. So, buying StubHub, and telling their users to sell/buy tickets on that allows them to recover larger fees.

    It's all about the $$$$.

Look everybody get their best deal

    ~ BUT ~

consider if your purchase or sale is within pennies or whatever, this website has a StubHub link to click on at the right hand margin.

Everytime one of you fuggers click on it, you do not even have to buy anything, it sends these dudes a check at Bolttalk that could buy a 12 pack of beer or help keep the lights and servers happy.

I guess what I am trying to say, those "clicks and purchases" helps to support this site since it comes out of Thumper and Rays pockets to pay for this hedonistic lifestyle "you" animals enjoy.
