I'd like London to get it. At least we can still speak American, err..., English there.

Although..... the phrase "Come and knock me up in the morning so I can have a *** with breakfast" brings some interpretations of it's own. :icon_tease:

I hope the chargers aren't one of the teams that have to travel that far. Let the east coast teams burn themselves out by traveling all that way for a game. :bolt:

I hope the Chargers don't have any part in that. Travel from the West Coast will suck.

I'm not bashing on England (or Germany) as I enjoyed living in London in the mid-80's for a semester of college.

If The Chargers do come over to the UK. Some of the Bolttalk lot should come over and Tailgate.

I'm not sure that article is entirely comprehensive on the teams that will travel - rather it says "host" - meaning the home team. Are the possible "visitors" another group of teams?

New Orleans lost a home game last year (and all home games, really), so I doubt they are the "host" team unless their is significant contributions from an NFL fund - which there might be, making it economically beneficial to owner Tom Benson. Using the Saints can also be another public relations tool to bring more attention to rebuilding the Gulf Coast.

KC also is a prime candidate, in that they whined for years to get a Turkey Day game, so "paying back" the NFL by traveling overseas is a possibility.

The more I think about this, the more it looks like Germany might host the game. Five of the six NFL Europe teams are based in Germany.

But thats NFL Europe. They'll pick the Country with the most marketing possibilities so its gonna be London.

The German Cities are Frankfurt and Cologne

That reminds me of something that happened to me years ago when I was in the Army. While on vacaton in Spain I was sitting at this bar. The girl next to me asked me "have you got a ***"? With her accent and noise I thought she asked if I was a ***. Once we finally understood each other we had a good night. Later in the night she was leaving and I walked her to her hotel. Before she went in she asked me to "come by and knock me up tomorrow". Needless to say I was shocked and she could tell she said something wrong. We laughed about it as I explained what it meant in America. Cool chick, good times.

A west coast team is going to hate that trip. It is the exact wrong 8 hour shift. Mid-8AM in London is 8AM on the west coast. I have made trip a few times for work and I feel like a zombie for about 2-3 days when I first get there.

    Go LONDON!

I have been to Mildenhall RAF England twice, Kadena AB Okinawa 4 times, Osan AB Korea once, and Cubi Point Phillipines once, tell me about jet lag, all those trips originated in California.
