I have zero respect for Manning. He's a piece of ****. To make things worse he's now saying he has no regrets. Does he even realize that he not only disrespected the Charger, but the entire NFL as well. I guess Elway got away with it, but he's a piece of **** to me too.

And since I'm on a rant here, one more thing. Eli was a whiny little child. That's all. He did not engineer anything.

What's he supposed to say? "Yeah the Giants suck ***. I made a huge mistake."

BTW, Eli, I have no regrets either. Thanks for refusing to play here. The last thing I'd want is you as our QB.

    Idiots usually have no regrets.

I think the guy in this story was Manning's long lost brother...

I love Eli for being the #1 piece behind building the Chargers Dynasty that we get to watch for the next 5 years.

It sure is looking like it now. The Walker trade was a huge one , it has to be between them at this point.

I would thing the Ditka trade for Ricky would rank somewhere in the vicinity as well. The wig shot actually raised this blunder to a whole 'nother level.

I don't feel ill towards Eli, I look at it as if he did our club a favor. Laying out on the Bolt's was the best thing that kid has ever done. If we were to draft a QB, I wanted Rivers all the way, no Ben and no Eli so I got what I was hoping for.:bolt2:

Exactly. Eli and his selfishness was exactly what we needed at the time, look who we got for him.

Hey shEli, way to fire up the hometown New York crowd with that impressive 73 lifetime QB rating, the zen-like 54% completion ratio, or that awesome 1.15 TD:INT ratio.

Atlantic City can put up odds on whether your next pass will be a TD or an INT, or even be completed, since all have pretty much the same likelihood of happening. Forget roulette and craps, the real gamblers bet on the outcome of your passes.

The source for that is this NY Times article:

..... Manning is well aware that this has been characterized as a make-or-break season, both for him, and for Giants Coach Tom Coughlin. But he said he has no regrets about his decision three years ago to shun the San Diego Chargers and engineer a trade to the Giants.

“You appreciate playing in a town that’s serious about their football,” Manning said. “You can go to other towns where if you lose, it doesn’t really matter. That wouldn’t be any fun. They might not be as hard on you, but at least here, you’re in an organization and a town that expects to win. That’s what you want to be a part of. I’m looking forward to a long future here.” ......

Depends on what the other team did with those draft picks. Pretty sure those picks didn't net three Pro Bowlers.

That's a good question. Regardless, though I gotta' put that trade as one of the most ill advised ever made for any NFL Franchise. Although he's not there now, one of the Skins picks in that trade was Champ Bailey. The following year they got Lavar Arrington and I think Jon Jansen. If I remember right they used a lot of the extra picks as leverage for moving up to select players. Most of whom were just guys.

I told him that at the game, along with 68,000 others! It was great! I have never heard that Stadium that loud for an entire game because of one player!
