He's just waiting until they have a new QB that learns the offense then he'll say he's coming back. Just biding his time.

Another one bites the dust... Farve has completed the "aging Quarterback" fable. He should have either come back immediately with GB, or stayed retired. If he had made the playoffs, AND made some noise in the playoffs, maybe his return would have been ok. Especially since GB missed the PO, and sucked last year.

    Retire Again?

Maybe he will play a season of minor league baseball before unretiring, only to retire again to buy some sports franchise like the Sascatuan(SP?) sled dogs.

My guess is when camps open, some team will have QB issues and ol' Brett will ride to the rescue and ultimately make matters worse for said team...

    Overrated? How? Please explain.
He was the ONLY reason the Packers stayed competitive after the Super Bowl victory. He carried that team on his back for many seasons.

He was good, but given too much credit for his team success and not nearly enough blame for his stupid mistakes (like last year's NFCCG choke job)

I agree that ESPN gives him too much love but he's still not overrated. Best active QB through the 90s and deffinetly one of the top 5 best through the 2000s.

He kept the Jets competitive. I mean, when a team in your division wins 11 games and doesn't make it to the playoffs... you got an extremely tough division!!!

See ya Brett, it was fun watching you. I really do wish you'd leave the league as quiet as you did when you broke into it.

Yep, that's about it in a nutshell.

Seriously........it's like my mother used to say, "Always leave them wanting more". Trouble is, too many players don't get that concept---they hang around one or two seasons too long, and instead of going out on top, they become a pale imitation of themselves. It's pitiful to watch, and I always cringe inside when they insist that they "never felt better".

Personally, I'd rather remember Brett Favre as the great QB he once was, rather than the attention whore he is today--- well past his prime and still trying to recapture the magic. It's sad.
