Ill say it on this thread too...Raiders are extremely doubtfull because they don't have a 1st round pick next year.

    If you are the Rams...

one of these two scenarios? Offer your second rounder? Then you are free to take one of the two DT's in the first. Pitt could look at this...

Offer to swap firsts with them...Let Pitt take Bradford, or Clausen whoever they prefer...and Rams would drop back to Pitt's selection at 18.

Not sure how this would look on the draft value chart. If I'm the Rams, I'd do either of these. And if you're Pitt, you get yourself a high pick, and get him out of town, to a very poor, NFC team.

They have one this year. What does next year matter? The Raiders always do stupid stuff, and the report says the Steelers are looking for a top 10 pick, not 2

Not trading for Big Ben would be stupid imo. He would instantly add 3 or 4 wins to their season, even with the suspension. Good thing Al Davis has that odd love affair with JaMarcus Russell.

You're probably right. Ben is better than their last 6 1st rounders combined.

    2009 7 Darrius Heyward-Bey WR Maryland
2008 4 Darren McFadden RB Arkansas
2007 1 JaMarcus Russell QB Louisiana State
2006 7 Michael Huff SS Texas
2005 23 Fabian Washington CB Nebraska
    2004 2 Robert Gallery T Iowa

According to NFL Network's Jason La Canfora, the Raiders are in contact with the Steelers about a trade for Ben Roethlisberger.

La Canfora says Oakland "might be (the) only real option" for Pittsburgh if the Steelers are truly prepared to wash their hands of the 28-year-old QB. The Raiders, smartly (for once), appear to have realized that JaMarcus Russell is a bust, and very arguably the biggest in NFL history. The Steelers might ask for Nnamdi Asomugha in addition to Oakland's No. 8 overall pick. Apr. 21 - 3:30 pm et

The Steelers want a top 10 1st, why would they settle for a 2nd?

Swapping 1sts would be the equivalent of about the 3rd overall pick. If Pit added their 2nd it'd drop it to about the 9th pick. I think the Rams would seriously consider it if Pit offered Ben, their 1st and 2nd for the 1st pick. Otherwise I'm not sure they'd do it. Although I don't think the Steelers want that pick that badly.

Of course this is going off the trade value chart, I don't see the Rams taking less than what it'd indicate the pick is worth (unlike when we traded Eli).

Personally, I don't see the Steelers being interested in taking on Nmandi's salary for the final seasons of his existing contract. Well in excess of $25 mil for two years.

The Raiduhs are about the only group I would half expect to go for this. This would throw a couple of twists in the draft.
