Kinda on that note, and I apologize for my own cultural ignorance, but how hip are your fellow countrymen to NFL teams? Like to you friends recognize that as a San Diego Chargers jersey?

I just know if I saw a Premier League jersey I'd have no clue...

They don't even care what jersey it is..they just says it American and then rant how crap the sport is and how "good" soccer is and out the players who roll around like its a bad play are "good" sports

That is the thing that drives me nuts about soccer.

Dudes on on the ground rolling around like his fuking leg got ripped off, draws a yellow and after a minute he jumps back up and runs off like nothing happened. Freaking pussies.

Way to represent :abq2: and smack that wanker brother of yours for taking a blur pic.

I agree that it's aggravating, but they are just trying to draw fouls, and get opponents carded. It has nothing to do with them being pussies. It's just an annoying part of the game that should be dealt with.

My daughter is sprouting up too lately (the one in my avatar)...she really fast went from 5'3 to almost 5'5...:icon_eek: I told her I'm gonna have to stop feeding her...she's as hungry as Shawne Merriman when she comes from water polo practice...2-3 hours a day :icon_eek:

Yesterday was her 15th birthday. Your jersey is nice. And jogging is very good for you ;)

I know it is part of the game and one of the reasons mainstream America could give a flying fuk about major league soccer. That and the slow scoring pace. There are nuances to game that a general sports fan would not see, but you have to really know the game to enjoy that part.

Anyone that fakes an injury and lies on the ground crying like a baby? *****.

Your daughter is lovely, but I embarrassed for that poor pooch. Should have been an elf hat.

Not to get too far astray, but I have never understood why people hate no scoring, when basketball has too much, so the scores themselves are basically meaningless. At least a goal in soccer actually means something, as it is pretty damned difficult to get one. At a basketball game you can go take a leak, miss ten baskets, yet you really haven't missed anything because there will be a whole bunch more. I guess it's a great sport for people with short attention spans.
