You mean the same AJ Smith who's ego was so out of control that he had to hire a
"YES MAN" puppet like Norv Turner to ruin this franchise? :icon_shrug:

A friend of mine saw a guy with a donk hat and tee shirt on a couple weeks ago at a gas station. The donk fan saw that my friend had a chargers jersey on and said how's it feel your in the drivers seat again. My friend said you wouldn't believe it but some fans are still upset with a.j. smith. The donk fan shook his head and said. You can give him to us. WE'd kind of like to start winning.

I think A.j. has learned his lesson with wr's. Don't get a wr in the first round. Get real studs. Wr's are too primadona and take years to develop and then most don't develop.

And don't give away 2nd rounders. YOu build a team around 1st and 2nd rounders.

I guess if you accepted the FACT (que B4L) that Nate is a clutch kicker and took him out of your sig then maybe the dead horse wouldn't get beaten :icon_shrug:

I think we have seen how good AJ is at drafting is after all these injuries. The back-ups are playing better than the starters! It takes a good GM to have that kind of depth. I think he has done a great job in getting steals in the draft.

Better than our starters? Jamal, Hardwick, and Merriman are quite a bit better than the guys replacing them.

However, Mooch, English, and most of our safeties can start for many teams in the NFL, without question. Our depth is the best in the NFL at many positions, and it is a luxury that we have enjoyed for years.

No one ever questioned AJ smiths scouting ability. He's an amazing scout and picking the best kicker of the modern era is one of many nods to that. But as far as picking coaches etc... I still have my doubts...

Until he produces a team that doesn't lose when the season is on the line it doesn't matter. :icon_tease:

Maybe I am a little jaded by our 9 game win streak haha. But it does seem that people are coming in and performing very well in replacement positions. Its great to see our depth everyone is always talking about, but also sucks because that means our starters are going down.

There is large amount of luck for us this season, despite the injuries. We have had to grab for vet free agents that might not have been there had other teams had gaps to fill. Our depth hasn't covered all our line up spots. We have a number of retreads on the roster who haven't proven themselves in games with us. We'll find out soon enough.
