    1. Spread the ball around. You have to make sure that you get multiple people involved in the game. The Patriots excel at removing your primary weapon, therefore, you make sure that there are too many weapons for them to focus on. With the emergence of Vincent Jackson, Darren Sproles, Chris Chambers, and the young players who get involved like Craig ‘Buster’ Davis and Ledagu Naanee this turns out to be something we can do now that we could not do in the second week of the season.

    2. Hit Brady. Not sack, grab him, hit him after the release, push him. Let him know that we are there. The sacks are not important with a QB like Brady, but getting in his head is. Knock downs, bumps etc. are what throw him off of his game. He is a dangerous signal caller, but pressure him, hit him, get in his head and he will throw the errant pass.

    3. Keep Brady on the sidelines. Limit the number of offensive possessions that the Patriots have. If we keep the chains moving, such as we did against the Colts then we will have a better chance. Typically, teams get 14-16 possessions a game. We limited the Colts to 10. If we can further limit the Patriots to 8-10 we will win. Keep Brady and team on the sidelines, keep the chains moving.

    4. Get the players health. Gates’ toe. Rivers’ knees. LT’s knee. These injuries have to be watched and if possible fixed in time for the game. Gates played against the Colts, and made some nice catches, but he was not the typical Gates, and no one should expect him to be. LT needs to be on the field. He will be checked out on Monday as will Rivers. Both are key players who have to be on the field against the Patriots. You have to imagine that all these players will play if they can.

    5. Maintain focus. This one is probably the easiest of the five. This team has been focused for the last eight weeks. They are ready to play each game and the game plans have been good. The Patriots ran away with the game in week 2 of the season, but this is a different team they face now. Game time, if the Patriots expect and easy game, they will be handed their first loss of the season.

The power of the hoodie repels you!

HIt the pats recievers on the line and tight coverage with mainly nickle and dime coverage. Pass coverage is more important than pass rush cause the pats design thier plays to get rid of the ball so fast.

On offense the pats pass coverage is weak. Their safteys are slow. You can run on the pats once they pull their linebackers back worried about the pass.

    Pats going down.

The indy game was just a practice for what the pats do. pass, pass , pass. Chargers have to cover , cover , cover and score points and were gonna win.

Key for me is to open the play book up like you did against the Colts.

Don't open tight and timid like you did last time against NE. No quick picks (especially for TDs).

I'm fine with the bend don't break D if we create a couple of turnovers and move the ball when we have it.

    All good keys, Conc.

yeah and no stupid reverse toss returns with cro.
we need to play belly's injury game during the week, i.e. no one is gonna play 'cause they need surgery.
main point, run it down their old *** throats. if we learned anything from the jags game against them on saturday is that their d get's tired.
i love hunior but get 'im tired and wish he could still be a bolt. youth is our friend at this point.
run run run, then hit 'em with chamber's and jackson, then back to run run run...
hopefully gates will be available as well.
oh yeah and start the fricken ball hawk weddle.
as an aside, i loved the demonstration of depth today.

Junior is old... you're right. I think LoNeal could make him feel a little bit older, too. We need the sledgehammer back for this one.

My greatest fear in this game is... NOTHING. Well, maybe I might fear the Vrabel v. Clinton Hart matchup on the fade route. But other than that... no fear.

I have been saying that all year, you have to go after Brady, not every play but you cannot play conservative or he will pick you apart, hit him as often and as hard as possible.

I am a Raider fan but my disdain for the much hated Pats makes me a Bolt fan, at least in the playoffs :icon_toast:

I hope you guys kick the crap out of them.

You only need ONE way to beat them...break Brady's leg, injure him, and put him on the sideline:tup: He's the only reason why they win, otherwise the are 7-9, maybe 8-8.

I can see why the Chargers and their fans are referred to as "classy."

    Stay classy San Diego.

Picks and cash, yes, but not any games. Also not wishing any opponents' leg to be broken.

C'mon guys, even though he is a Pats fan, Grogan's is far better behaved than most Pats fans to roll through here. Give him a fairs shake (I suggest)...

Yeah, just like if a Pats fan said 'kill LT!' Do you think they really mean to kill him. Smack is one thing, but I have yet to meet anyone who really wants players injured...
