    That could be credited to his free time spent bodysurfing, swimming, running or mountain biking, when he wasn't working as a general manager for the Chargers or Redskins.

    Beathard, now retired, joined more than 300 competitors over the weekend for the finals of the World Bodysurfing Championships at the pier in Oceanside. The Leucadia resident won the 65-and-older bracket yesterday to advance to the grand finals, which was won by Chris Lafferty.</blockquote>
