Every year 6 teams from the AFC make the playoffs. This is a list to show how the 4 AFC Elite teams have done against "only" playoff teams since 2007.

"The Chargers/Pats/Colts/Steelers have won their respected divisions the most, which is why I chose those 4"

So for example, beating the Patriots in 2008 (with Cassel) wouldn't count because they weren't a playoff team.

Since 2007 what's been some of the top AFC teams record against other AFC playoff teams?

    = = = = =

    Chargers 6-10

    0-3 Patriots
    3-1 Colts
0-2 Steelers (Actually lost to them last year as well but they weren't a playoff team)
    0-1 Ravens
    0-1 Dolphins
    0-1 Jets
    0-1 Jacksonville
    2-0 Titans
    1-0 Bengals

    = = = = =

Patriots 10-7 (But lost 4 of those games with Matt Cassel)

1-2 Colts (One loss with Cassel)
    1-1 Steelers (Lost with Cassel)
    3-1 Chargers (Lost with Cassel)
    1-0 Jacksonville
    2-1 Ravens
    1-1 Jets
    1-1 Dolphins (Lost with Cassel)

    = = = = =

Colt 11-7 (Gave 2 games away)

    1-1 Patriots
    1-0 Steelers
    1-3 Chargers
2-2 Titans (One of these losses was a giveaway loss)
    2-0 Jacksonville
    3-0 Ravens
    1-1 Jets (Giveaway loss)

    = = = = =

Pittsburgh 8-7 (Lost two games without Big Ben)

    0-1 Patriots
    0-1 Colts
    3-0 Chargers
4-2 Ravens (Lost to them without big Ben twice)
    1-1 Titans
    0-2 Cincinnati

Is any one shocked that of the four, the Chargers are the only team with a losing record?

And here we are against the NFC's playoff teams since 07:

    Chargers 2-3

    0-1 Packers
    0-1 Panthers
    0-1 Falcons
    1-0 Cowboys
    1-0 Eagles

    Patriots 4-2

    1-1 Giants
    1-0 Cowboys
    1-0 Redskins
    1-0 Cardinals
    0-1 Saints

    Colts 2-2

    1-0 Bucs
    0-1 Packers
    1-0 Cardinals
    0-1 Saints

    Pittsburgh 4-2

    1-0 Seahawks
    1-0 Cardinals
    0-1 Giants
    0-1 Eagles
    1-0 Packers
    1-0 Vikings

Once again, the only of the 4 teams without a winning record

Pardon my ignorance...Should we not be 3-3 here having bombed the Cardinals (NFC West champs last year) earlier?

The records are based on the playoff teams for the specific year, not against playoff teams the year before. So since the Cards are not a playoff team this year, they were not counted. It also doesn't include the losses to Seattle or KC since neither is guaranteed a playoff spot yet
