I'd have to give it to the chargers defense. They saved our butts and got the turnovers to win the game.

I was worried about cottrell. But right now I'd say he did a good job.

Offense: Gates - Can't stop him, only hope to contain him.
Defense: Cooper - Did a great job, 6 tackles, 1 fumble recovery.

Weddle gets one for being the secret weapon today. That kid is johnny-on-the-spot. I love his knack for being around the action.

Cooper was very, very solid. I am already starting to see a stiffening of our interior defense now that we've unloaded the biter. It did look like we missed the biter on a couple of those square-ins the Bears were running. Wilhelm, who looked average, needs to get deeper in his coverage.

Jamal gets a game ball. No doubt.

In fact, it's really hard not to give a game-ball to everyone on the defense. Was there a single defensive penalty today?

For what it's worth, I agree with you on this. LT was unexceptional today.

Of course, we know that won't last.

I don't think I ever recall Jamal so animated as after that 4th down stop. I am hoping that this is a sign of things to come. A swagger that the Baltimore defense has had .. Biig test next week but very very hopeful.

weddle, philips, and big bad jamal. jamal had two stops, two HUGE stops in a row, philips had that sack in the first quarter that set the tone for grossman that sent the message to rex AND everyone else in the stadium that hes not going to be comfy in the pocket. weddle kept pressure on grossman, one or two sacks and like three corner blitzes that forced poor decisions by interceptasaurus.

btw, i like hart shootin dice off that fumble recovery

Yah seriously running out of bounds is for pouzzies. I want YAC!!!! -- something the Chargers have routinely been worst in the league at. Thank GAWD for Michael Turner and Craig Davis. GAWD forbid the softies on our team teach Davis to go out of bounds instead of head upfield. You wonder why a guy like Anquan Boldin runs a 4.7+ and gets 1400 yard seasons, it's because he is one hard mofo.
