    Five things to watch

    1. MARTYBALL: You might have heard there was some controversy after the Chargers lost to Baltimore last week. Something about Marty Schottenheimer being too conservative. Anyway, it's not like anyone expects the veteran coach to change. Philip Rivers probably won't drop back and heave the ball 50 yards – or even 5 yards – downfield on every other snap. But it will be interesting to see the fan reaction the first time the Chargers run the ball on third-and-8 and don't make a first down.</blockquote>
