    Gates officially 'doubtful'
Antonio Gates no longer is 50-50 to play in Sunday's playoff game at Indianapolis. After he sat out practice for the third straight day, Gates was listed as "doubtful'' by the club, which means there's at least a 75 percent chance he will not play. The reality is closer to 99.99 percent, although Gates did make the trip to Indiana this afternoon.

One other possible concern: Antonio Cromartie did not practice today because he was ill. It figures he'll be OK by Sunday, but could be weakened. The Chargers listed him as probable, meaning the team considers it a virtual certainty that a player will be available.

In Indianapolis, everyone practiced today for the Colts and is expected to be available Sunday. H-back Ben Utecht was listed as questionable, but it would be a shock not to see him play. The only buzz at Colts HQ today was a rumor that Marvin Harrison would address the media, something that occurs roughly, uh, never. Reporters waited at the end of the locker room where Harrison's locker is located during the 45-minute open period, but Harrison never showed his face. Somehow I think the world will continue rotating on its axis anyway.

right now indy's entire team is injured it is only fair if ours is too. indy is basically missing their defensive line and they are huge favs? IMO their defense sucks balls but then again we have dr. phil playing a road game. if rivers complains about not having gates i am not buying it and then maybe he will think twice before throwing ugly *** inaccurate passes off his back foot.

Prime example of why having thousands of posts to your name doesn't necessarily make you a smart fan.

He was double teamed every play, just like Marcy Wiley.

You know, maybe he was trying to show respect for the Ankle Biter, to tell him that we're sorry he went "home" to the KC winter teepee.

The Colts are a good team. At times a GREAT team. I take nothing away from them and their Manning QB.

But in my hanest opinion, we are a BETTER team than the Colts. The players are on the same page as the Coaches now. Everyone talks about how the Chargers have not beaten anyone this year. Who has Indy beaten.

This will be a good game, and I see us winning!

Buccaneers shouldn't count. A very overrated team from a terrible division.

In fact the only reason the Colts have the number one scoring defense is cause they got to play the NFC south. They had the benefit of going against such powerhouses as the Falcons, Panthers, Bucs and the Saints couldn't have looked more out of sync in that first game.

It wasn't that Titans player who could have just touched him down, but instead launched himself at Gates?

Look at the common opponents. They beat many of the same teams we did. Yet they are superior for doing it, while the Chargers are inferior. Fuzzy logic?

They had to dump both of them to make Donnie's "agent conspiracy theory" have merit.
