"In my entire athletic career, I'd never been cut," Gbaja-Biamila said."  "For the first month or so, I was a little down, but then I started getting phone calls from all over the place and felt like I was going to land somewhere."

Trips to Miami, Tampa, Dallas, Washington and even Green Bay where his brother Kabeer had established himself as an All Pro proved to be fruitless."  But while working out one day in his San Diego home, Gbaja-Biamila made a spur-of-the-moment decision to see if there might be an opportunity for him in his back yard.</blockquote>
