I agree, ****ing ridiculous. I hate Brett Favre right now. I could care less how talented or how much of a legend he is, he's pulled some major bullshit the past two years. Goodell tell him N-O No.

I really hate it when washed-up athletes don't know when to hang it up. This "retiring" and then coming back, especially when they're only a shadow of their former selves, is just pathetic and it shows how pitiful their lives are. I'd rather remember these guys as they were when they were at the top of their game than see them keep trying to recapture their glory days. But, that's just me.

He's only ruining his status as a legendary QB. How many people are going to remember all the things he did in his career after all this? Sure his accomplishments will be remembered, but this will overshadow it. I'm beginning to hate him. He ****ed over GB last year with his retiring and then when they had their offence ready for Rodgers he decides to just come back. It's so ridiculous.

I got a PM from someone that was unhappy with the title of this thread. Sometimes, those of us who don't believe in religion use that as an expression of exasperation. It's not my gig, and it's a small thing to me, but I certainly don't want to piss on anyone else's religion.

If one of the mods could change the thread title to "Geez!" I would appreciate it. Thanks.

When I saw the title of the thread I thought "Wow, that is quite a free agent pickup!"

Seriously, I guess Favre is destined to end his career like Jim Kelly and Stan Humphries...riding off of the field on the cart slack jawed, and google-eyed after getting leveled and concussed one time too many.

    Memo to #4:

Go away Brett, your act is getting old and annoying and nobody cares.

For me his 'status' has already been ruined. I wish he would just F off and leave us all alone. I am sick to the teeth of his crying, his changing his mind, his whinging. I always wondered how intelligent this guy really was. Now I know. He is a moron.

Go, for the love of God, go.

Now we see the real attention whore that he is!

ESPN has not said Brett Favre in week and they were going through some major withdrawls. So they ressuerected him agin just to say Brett Favre.

In all fairness, he keeps maintaining he's not going to play, and since the media nothing else to talk about right now it has become this huge non-story. I guess it's just a slow NFL news season.

Yeah, I like Brett Favre just as much as the next guy, but to call him Jesus is kind of a stretch.

All Favre and his agent had to do to end all speculation was say "I am not coming out of retirement, I will not be signing with the Vikings or any other football team. Period. End. Of. Story." but noOoOoOoOo we get more Bus Cook saying "to my knowledge..." "as far as I know..." and Brett saying "aw shucks ya'll i just wanna ride my tractor for now" or some other bullpoo.

I wouldn't have a problem with him wanting to play if he hadn't been screwing the Packers for 4 years in a row flip-flopping over retirement until training camp, then retiring the following year when the team asks him to make a decision at a decent time so they can make plans to move forward, then demanding to come back as the starter once the clock strikes June, then trying to work a trade from the Packers to their division rival b/c he's pissy about not getting hsi way, then tanking it for the Jets (ok, so maybe that was just funny) and now continuing to give people the run around while pretending to be all innocent and ****.

F you Favre you jerkface :p and F NFL Network/ESPN/etc... for beating this non-story to death.

If LT acted like this everyone and their mother would be ready to tar and feather his *** - can you imagine if LT asked to go to the Raiders or the Donks or KC after pulling this kind of crap? They would eat him alive in the media... but not Favre, no Favre gets 1/2 of them saying "lets just move on" and the other half tripping over themselves to kiss his ***.

I knew we were in trouble on Groundhog Day when Chris Berman saw his shadow....6 more months of Favre!!!

Does anybody know when they switch over to 7/24 Tom Brady butt-kissing? I'm planning to leave my TV turned off on that day too.....the regular season can't get here fast enough!

I would, but I don't have that capability for this forum.

Thanks for your sensitivity to those of us who cringe whenever the Lord's name is taken in vain.....I'm as big a potty-mouth as anyone on this forum, but that's where I draw the line.

I'll forward your request to one of the other mods. Thanks again!

    I have a compromise proposal:

Allow Favre to return to the NFL, but require him to wear a clown suit... you know, with the size 46 shoes, the big red nose (Pfffft! Brett already has HIS from drnking!) and the baggy, polka dot jump suit.

    I'd call it a "win-win" situation!
