The Chargers front office is making noises indicating that they will be a little more active in free agency this off-season. If you were GM what 3 positions would you target for bringing in an impact free agent player and who would you bring in?...and why that particular player?

To start the ball rolling, I would bring in an OLB pass rush specialist, a Safety and Right Tackle. I haven't checked who the available free agents are so at time I don't have names to go with the positions.

So sit back in the big chair, put your feet up on the GM's desk get the Chargers some outside help!

Naming specifically I'd bring in Lamar Woodley. He'd be a great impact olb to team with Phillips and with Barnes and English as backups our pass rush would be better. I think we can find a DE in the draft and not sure about RT in FA. Safety still unsure about Stuckey but want to give him a shot

It really depends a lot on how much these FAs want. Every 3-4 team in the league is going to be after Woodley and Hali if they are allowed to even sniff free agency (which I expect they won't), they'll be tagged is my bet.

Release: Sproles, Volek, Naanee, Cooper, Oliver, Cesaire, Johnson, McMichael, and Applewhite.
Re-sign: Jackson, Floyd, Weddle, Siler, Burnett.
FAs: OT Willie Colon. LB David Harris. TE Kevin Boss. QB Alex Smith. QB Drew Stanton.
Draft: S, OLB, DE, RB, C.

Also possibilities on my list is RT Ryan Harris, NT Paul Soliai, and.....if by some miricle Haloti Ngata isn't re-signed or tagged it would change all my priorities.

Cooper might not be a great player but the defense sure looks more focused and doing what they are supposed to do when he's in there

I would only draft a RB in the 6th round (only pick after the 3rd round) if we're talking about a Dexter McCluster type (to take Sproles' sopt)

as far a FA bring in a vet that has won it all to show this knuckleheads how to stay focused and win
