Matt Cassel had an appendectomy today. No idea how that will affect him on the field, and I know they are far from a pass 1st team, but any team that loses their starting QB could negatively be affected

Honestly, under our dire situation, if we can't beat the Queefs at home regardless of Cassel, we don't deserve to even DREAM about playoffs.

    Cue Jim Mora.

Brodie Croyle and his torn labia will crush this defense if they play the way they did vs. The Raiders.

Tyler Palko will be in by the second quarter. Brodie Croyle is made of glass.

He's got 4 days to rest and they'll load him up on painkillers. I bet Cassel starts

Roethlisberger missed a game because of this, and while that guy may be a big dumb oaf, he is tough as nails.

Full recovery time after an appendectomy is 4-6 weeks, though you can resume normal activity after 10 days. If Cassell plays, props to him & his toughness. But I just don't see it.

Yeah its not a matter of toughness, its a matter of not tearing the stitches and getting an infection. I'd be shocked at the Chiefs if they started him this week.

That said he's not exactly the straw that stirs the drink for the Chiefs. If your O-line kicks our D-line's *** like the Raiders' did it'll still be a good game.

This is by no means a guarantee of a win (never is), judging by the way we played Sunday. Stack the box and make Croyle throw it. I agree if we can't beat KC without Cassell we don't deserve to win, let alone go to the playoffs. They have to be a LOT better mentally and emotionally prepared. You know how Norv and the boys play to the level of their opponents.....

I agree with this post...I will add that if he plays the Chiefs organization should be ASHAMED of themselves. Just not necessary.
