    Some of the highlights;

    It’s awfully exciting right now.

    It feels like a new beginning for us.

    We are flying around, we’re focusing on the details we’re focusing on what we do best.

    We’re going to do what we do best instead of doing a lot of things just OK.

    We walk out of meetings excited, we walk onto to practice field ready to execute, and show the coaches what we’re capable of when we totally know what we’re doing.

    Ron has come in with an entirely different mindset. We are being held to a higher standard now.

    On the difference between the Steelers’ defense and the Chargers’ D;
    It’d the attitude, we have a very similar scheme, we definitely have the players. It’s belief in the system, belief in each other; in a nutshell it’s basically trust. And that’s something we got away from the first 8 weeks of the season, because we were thinking too much, we were second guessing not only ourselves but second guessing each other, and second guessing the calls. And that lead to what some are calling the debacle that was the first half.

    On why they were second-guessing the calls;
    Some players thought that we were situationally not being put in the right defense. It kind of takes the attacking mentality out of your game.

    Ron has been stressing the work ethic, the discipline, and in creating turnovers and getting to the football. And that has been a tide that has changed in the last 7, 8, 10 days.

    Everyone on the defensive side of the ball is excited to get out there and get back to fundamentals.

    We want to stop teams and get turnovers, get sacks, get off on 3rd downs,

    With Ron Rivera we are getting back to the confidence level that we know we can play with.

    There is no better time for redemption than right now.

    On the Denver/Cleveland game;
    I’m rooting for my hometown Cleveland Browns, I’m sure guys are going to watch it and root against the Broncos but, more so we're excited to get back out there and get back on track. Because it’s not about what they do, it’s about what we do from here on out. We need to focus and win not only for ourselves but also the city of San Diego.

    For some reason I cannot take listening to Wilhelm seriously. Not only does he not 'walk the walk', he even sounds like a softie, he sounds like one of those guys who gathers the balls up at the end of practice....

    Prove me wrong Matty. :tup:

    ummmm don't we play kansas this week?

    We need stop talking about the steelers and start focusing on the chiefs, we give up an easy one to those f*ckers, whether we win or lose against the steelers won't matter for sh*t.:tdown:

    Some Charger fans don't like to hear it, but Matt often speaks the truth. He doesn't sugar coat things like other players.

    He said we had trouble with our defense with Teddy, and we did.

    I am tempted to believe him now.

    Just saying.

    ...It's the attitude, and a mental and physical toughness. Look at the intensity that Pitt plays with. Cmon Wilhelm, you don't belong on this team let alone thinking you're on a par with Steeler defenders.

    What counts is the play on the field.
    When they get their work done and make big plays, I start to believe, but not now. KC will show a little bit. The season
    ends or starts new in Pittsburgh.

    It's not about matt "speaks the truth", it's about some scrub who can't tackle pretending to be the mouthpiece for the D.

    It's kinda sad 1090 has to go to ****** some bench warmer for thier info.

    The interviewer asked him if he saw the Steelers/Washington MNF game and then asked him about the differences between the Chargers' and the Steelers' D.

    The interviewer was Philly Billy, the dude that sounds like he's got a couple of Jolly Ranchers stuck up his nose.

    Calm down. Let's just wait and see what kind of brand Rivera stamps on this defense.
