I like the video I have seen on this young man. Granted highlights do not indicate the play you get on every down. I like his shiftiness, and speed. He looks deceptively slow in the open field with long strides.

What I have heard negatively is he is not as good catching out of the backfield (develop-able), he stops his footwork upon contact (haven't seen but don't like), and he often tries to bounce out too often and gets caught in negative plays a few times a game.

All in all, I am liking what I see from him.

Love this kid, I think he has shot at being a top 5 RB.

Maybe the kid could get a few lessons in pass-catching from L.T.

I love his attitude and intelligence, two great examples that come to mind as to what I'm talking about are, when asked what the first thing he does when he gets established in S.D. he said "learn the playbook, it doesn't matter how much talent you have, if you don't know what you're doing, you won't be very successful"

secondly, he said he wants to learn from Danny Woodhead, about what it takes to be successful in this league.

If he isn't a 1200+ 10+ Tds a year guy by his 3rd year. Then I think the trade up doesn't match the production.

I’d like to see Gordon as our workhorse/featured back, spelled by Oliver on occasion with Woodhead used situationally, and Oliver as our “closer”, when we have a lead late in games and are trying to run the clock out and Donald Brown as a former Charger.

Mike Scifers Shoulder may it rest in pieces sure as heck likes that last part of your post. In fact no more Brown's as RB. They are what Leaf was to QBs a disaster.
