The season is over, I'm not even going to wait for the final 3 weeks to play out because anything that happens will distract from the main body of work. It seems odd that I didn't see Donald Brown or Vincent Brown in there...

Haha You also didn't see Jacoby Jones in there, only because there isn't a grade lower than F.

Maybe a G; for GO f*** yourself Jacoby.

    I like these opinion things, it stirs debate... I'd differ on a no. of things;

    1. David Johnson - no chance for me he is a B, total waste of a roster spot imho.
    2. Liuget B+ might be a tad high. But as he is the only D lineman worth a nuns fart on this team perhaps it is fair. He's been hurt alot too.
    3. Rico Mathews appears to try but he is on roller skates most of the time a C- is generous.
    4. Ingram is a slacker. He is a B if he balls out on every play but he does not. Perhaps a new coach can get through to him and have him deliver on his talent that he is wasting.
    5. Carrethers a B?, the guy barely gets on the field in a position where we have 1 player.
    6. Not sure how Mager can even be rated. Still can't get over that pick in the 3rd round.

    1. Agree 1000% .............Mati, could you be more specific as to how you reached an "above average" grade, I would be fascinated to hear your logic on this guy's importance to our Offence ?
The 4th rated most important cog in our Offensive juggernaut, WOW, high praise indeed.

    6. I would also include Darius Philon under the INCOMPLETE along with Mager, Dublin.

How does Oliver get an INC when he suited up for 8 games, yet Mager and Philon both only suited up in 5 ?

I inserted my grades to the right of yours. They are pretty close for the most part--only 6 more than a one letter grade difference (D. Johnson, Dunlap, Hairston, Barksdale, Franklin, Flowers) with 4 of those being OL players.

How is Hairston anything but not released after what Dre Ford did to him.

Barksdale is the only one close to deserving a C and even then I'm not so sure. The rest of the OL is cluster-phuck and needs to be rehauled.

Think B- is a generous grade for Weddle, he's not been anything like the player we're used to seeing in the past.

I give credit to the following:
Rivers - must be frustrating having no run game and no protection, but he's still got things done.
Verrett - Looking like he could be great
Perryman - brings some much needed hitting ability to our LB corps
    Robinson - pleasant surprise
Keenan Allen - was playing his best football until injury
Woodhead - one of our most dependable players
Gates - has made some good catches recently, though the 4 game suspension lets him down.

As for the rest of them, huge improvement needed, half of them you don't even notice in a game, how on earth does David Johnson get a grade? Unless that grade is I for invisible.

    OFFENSE
    QB - Philip Rivers: A- A-

RB - Melvin Gordon: D+ C- (minus the fumbling which is huge for the scheme and what little space he has infront of him he runs hard and breaks tackles... too bad he never gets enough touches once he gets going)
    RB - Donald Brown: -- F-
    RB
    - Brandon Oliver: INC INC

FB - David Johnson: B F- (Waste of a spot nor do I see him opening up any holes for the back... Its also hilarious when we split him out wide.

    TE - Antonio Gates: B+ B
TE - Ladarius Green: C+ C/C+ (usually seems to get opened when used)

    WR - Keenan Allen: A A
    WR - Malcom Floyd: B- C+
WR - Stevie Johnson: C C- (Too many drops/ I wont drop his grade more cuz he cant stay healthy)
    WR - Dontrell Inman: D D+
    WR - Javontee Herndon: D D+

    OT - King Dunlap: D- C
OT - Chris Hairston: C+ C (Outside of last week, he's played pretty well as a fill-in)
OT - Joe Barksdale: B+ B ( Probably the best and most healthy lineman we have)

    OG - Orlando Franklin: C- D+
    OG - DJ Fluker: C C
    OG - Kenny Wiggins: F D-

    C - Chris Watt: F F
    C - Trevor Robinson: F F

    DEFENSE
    DE - Corey Liuget: B+ B
DE - Kendall Reyes: D+ C- (I know most dont like Reyes, but he has outplayed Ricardo this season)
    DE - Darius Philon: D+ C-
    DE - Rico Mathews: C- C

    NT - Sean Lissemore: C- D-
    NT - Ryan Carrethers: B C

OLB - Melvin Ingram: B B- Both could be B if they were more consistent or if we had inside pressure so QBs could step up from the speed rush
OLB - Jerry Attaochu: C+ B- Both could be B if they were more consistent or if we had inside pressure so QBs could step up from the speed rush
    OLB - Kyle Emmanuel: C- C-
    OLB - Cordarro Law: C- D

    ILB - Denzel Perryman: B+ B+
    ILB - Manti Te'o: C+ C
ILB - Donald Butler: F F (I'm a fan of DB, but f*ck, there is no way to defend him. He may flash a play once a game, but when he runs he looks like he is hurting or just not into it.)
    ILB - Kavell Connor: D+ C-

    FS - Eric Weddle: B- B-
FS - Darrell Stuckey: F C (Not really used on D and has been fairly consistent on his ST role)

SS - Jahleel Addae: C+ C+ (Penalties, but at least he brings the hurt and energy on every play)
    SS - Jimmy Wilson: F F

    CB - Brandon Flowers: C- C-
CB - Jason Verrett: A- A (He's pretty much shutdown every #1 Receiver he's played all season. Yes he has dropped a couple picks this season.)
    CB - Patrick Robinson: A- B+
    CB - Stevie Johnson: C C
CB - Craig Mager: C- C (I want to go INC, but he has been good in some games when forced into action. So overall I will just default him to a C)

    P - Mike Scifres: D D
K - Josh Lambo: B B/B+ (I want to lean to B+, but he has missed a few kicks but I like that Telesco had some nuts with this roster move).
KR/PR - .......F LOL, we have one of these? Seriously though, Herndon has helped in this aspect of the game. That position could still be improved on though

No mention of the cart driver, he spent more time on the field than a lot of the players

To me Johnson counts as a blocker, and considering I think we run the most predictable ******* offensive scheme in the league I think I generously cut them all some slack by at least half a letter grade; as you can see in particular with the grades of Dunlap, Franklin, and Fluker.

No mercy for Chris Watt and Trevor Robinson, who were as clueless as they were hopeless.

I don't believe any of them are as bad as they played this year though. If I thought that it'd be F's all around, except for Barksdale.
