In last week's column, I discussed the importance of the two T's: turnovers and time of possession. The Chargers won the turnover battle, 2-0, and the offense held the ball 12 minutes longer than New England's offense. I think both teams knew going in that those would be the keys. That's even more of a reason to give credit to our guys who knew what they had to do. They went into a place where the home team hadn't lost in 21 straight games. The Patriots knew what the Chargers were going to try to do and the Bolts did it anyway. They punched them in the face, knocked them on their butts and beat them at their own game at their own stadium. It was a phenomenal team win.

We said it during the broadcast and Josh Lewin hit on it in his column this week – don't forget about the "little guys." We've learned to expect greatness from LaDainian Tomlinson, Drew Brees, Antonio Gates, Donnie Edwards and Steve Foley. But don't forget about the other guys. Often times it's the other guys who win or lose games, all things being equal.</blockquote>
