From the looks of things, it seems to me that AJ is looking to become General Manager and Head Coach.
Problem is that I don't think anybody has ever been successful that way besides Bill Parcells.

    Any comments?

    What pessimism?
IF it happens, did I say it would fail?

Try waiting until after the season .. otherwise it is just pessimism at this point.

George Young was the Giants GM when Parcells won the SB.

The whole thing is pointless. Another stupid thread form the Slasher Bunny.

AJ isn't trying to become head coach.

    Jets.
He didn't bring them that far but considering they had just got over a 1-15 season... Playoffs were a nice turn around.

I've been away from the boards for a while but can you explain to me your hard-on for AJ? I mean almost every thread you start has some bashing or degrading of AJ. Did he run over your dog? steal your mail? what gives??

My comment: This thread is retarded. AJ has not coaching experience. He is not a coach. He doesn't want to be a coach. He'll never be a coach.

You have managed to outdo yourself. Congratulations.

I get that but Norv wasn't AJ's first choice

B4L, why don't you go back to discussing the religious practices of people you know nothing about. Congratulations on confusing Hindus and Muslims. You should teach a cultural sensitivity course.

It's always a pleasure to listen to people that biatch about everything but offer very little in the way of actual solutions.

    Sweet.

    They are?
I've mentioned some mistakes that I feel AJ made but I've also gave him much credit where it's deserved.
Where in this particular thread am I bashing him? :icon_shrug:

I think its a short list, but one name that comes to mind is Dan Reeves.

He was the HC and GM of the Falcons in 1998 when they went to the superbowl.

Well, how do you explain AJ hiring the assistant coaches?

Because I really don't care for any religion.

Now if preying, going to church, reading religious literature, etc. makes another person feel good... that's great for them but it's not for me.

With that said... it wasn't even a religious discussion.

Wasn't he HC and GM with the Cardinals?

It is obvious that they do things differently. I can't imagine that all clubs in the NFL allow the HC to hire all assistants without some input from higher up in the organization (whether it is AJ or Dean) ..

Now you might not agree with the way they do things .. oh wait, you don't .. but there is not a whole lot you can do about it other than b*tch and whine about how you want "Fire Norv!" or it's all AJ's fault. I'd rather us try and deal with what we have on the field as far as personnell and coaching staff because I just don't think there are going to be any changes. I don't think AJ or Dean are trolling on Bolttalk.com and they certainly could care less what B4L thinks.

    That was anything but successful.

Read the title of the thread.

I did and that was hardly succeeding. The title didn't read "Has anyone else GM'd & Coached? You asked if anyone else succeeded.

Yup .. they don't. Again, missing the point. Why the fuk do you have to be so argumentative about everything?
