8 in a row! 9 Pro-Bowlers! 199 yards rushing! 31 TDs! 12 wins with more to come! What a year of numbers for the Chargers. What a ride we're on with the Bolts. Lets hope this ride doesn't end until the rings are delivered. But before we get to that, we need to finish out the regular season strong and healthy. We "Finessed" are way to 265 yards rushing against the Chefs. Think Hali still thinks were soft? I think Dielman was pancaking Chef lineman just for the fun of it. Let's take a look at the people that made Sunday fun:

Ladainian Tomlinson – 199 yards rushing. 2 more TDs to give him 31 so far. 85 yard TD score, the longest of his career. Paul Hornung's scoring record destroyed. Riggins multi-TD record falls, 8 straight 100 yard+ rushing days, 28 rushing TDs setting the new record, Starting Pro-Bowl RB, and the man says he hasn't done anything yet. He hasn't come close to his goals for this year. Well Mr. Tomlinson, I guess you need to just keep going until you have met or exceeded all your goals. And I for one will be more than happy to watch you show the world who the Chargers are!
O-Line – What else can you say about this group. They did not have the best pass blocking day but I think a lot of that rests on the fact that this group wanted to run and prove to KC we were not soft. Mission accomplished boys, mission accomplished. Congrats go to Nick Hardwick on his first Pro-Bowl selection. Marcus and Kris, you guys will be there next year.
Vincent Jackson – Great separation and catch on the 46 yarder from Rivers. But even better than that were the big time blocks he continues to have in the running game. He was running step for step with LT keeping the Safety with the angle from getting to LT. He sealed off a bunch more of LT's big runs. This guy is a player.
Michael Turner – Great to have you back Michael. TNT is back in effect and the NFL better be scared. The 25 yard Punt Fake rush was amazing. I was completely fooled by that, and so was KC. My cousin sitting next to me asked who is coaching this team because that was as Un-Marty-Ball as you can get. Turner was fantastic in return duties as well breaking off for some big yards. But what may have been even better were the couple of 5 and 6 yard runs up the middle that he basically just bull-dozed through the KC line and LBs to get first downs that put the game out of reach.
Randall Godfrey – Before leaving with a strain, he was having another big game for the Bolts. 6 tackles and 2 sacks. The Chargers committed to stopping the run, while KC tried to focus on stopping our OLBs by having RBs and TEs help chip them a lot of the day, which left the middle linebackers to get pressure, and they did it well.
Quentin Jammer – Had possibly his best day at CB. He was all over the place making tackles, getting his hands on the ball, and making the hit at just the right time. He was fantastic. He keeps playing like this and next year the Pro-Bow voters will have to recognize his talent.
The Front 3 – Luis was giving the KC line fits all day as was J-Ball. But hands down Igor had his best day all year. He was smacking people around making tackles and pressuring Trent Green. Luis got another sack pushing him to 7 on the year so far and he was damn close to 2 more in the game. If he doesn't miss 4 games due to injury, my guess is he has 10+ sacks from a 3-4 DE and makes the Pro-Bowl. J-Ball was doing what he always does, crush the pocket, make tackles in the run game, and make it easier for everyone on the defense to play their positions. Congrats to J-Ball for going to his second consecutive Pro-Bowl. Luis and Igor are sure to follow soon.
Donnie Edwards – 6 Tackles, 1 sack, 1 interception, 1 pass defended. Donnie was active all day making plays and doing what he does best, cover TEs and clean up in the run game. Pro-Bowl snub again, nothing new here.
Mike Scifres – Pinned KC back all day including the dead ball shot he hit that landed on the 6 yard line and just stopped. Looked like he hit a loft wedge from 50 yards out and just stopped it cold. In a regular year he is in the Pro-Bowl but Moorman is having an insane year so far.
Pro-Bowlers – Starters – LT, Lorenzo Neal, Antonio Gates, Nate Kaeding, Jamal Williams, Shawne Merriman, and Kassim Osgood Reserves – Nick Hardwick, Philip Rivers First Alternates – Mike Scifres, Kris Dielman, Marcus McNeill Second Alternates – Luis Castillo, Shaun Phillips

Philip Rivers – He had an off day as many young and old QBs do. He got a little emotional about it and slammed his helmet down. The good thing about it is it will focus him for the rest of the games and the team can see he cares about playing well for them. The 46 yard throw to ice the game in the 4th was beautiful. He was just a little off all day and made 1 really bad decision to throw that pass across the grain and have it picked. He will learn from this. Despite the bad outing, Congrats have to go to Philip Rivers for making his first Pro-Bowl in his first year as a starter and unseating Tom Brady from that spot.
WR Corps – Great blocking day by all. Dropped some catchable balls early which may have led to Philip losing a little confidence later and trying to force plays. These guys have to bail out their QB occasionally when he is a little off and that was not the case last weekend. Congrats have to go to Kassim Osgood and his Pro-Bowl selection as a special teamer. Now he has to take advantage on the field when he gets a pass thrown at him and make the catch.
Pro-Bowl Snubs – Major snubs – Luis Castillo, Shaun Philips, Kris Dielman, Marcus McNeill Snubs – Donnie Edwards, Igor Olshansky, Quentin Jammer Minor snubs – Vincent Jackson, Mike Goff, Mike Scifres

12-2. First place alone atop the AFC West. #1 Seed for the Playoffs. 5-1 in conference. Man I would have loved to go 6 for 6 in the AFC West. We'll leave that for improvement come next year. After last weekend I think the MVP race is all but over. Brees is having a remarkable year, but LT is having a legendary year. People will always have to go back and say "Remember the year LT had 35 touchdowns?" We avenged our last loss and its looking like we could get a chance to avenge the first loss come January. The Chargers need to stay focused. They need to go into Seattle and pretend that team is still in the AFC West and play them tough like a divisional rival. Lets show them why they are lucky to not face us twice a year anymore. Time to get the rythym going, stay healthy, and time for the fans to rejoice and let our team know how much they mean to us. You can see me losing my voice while screaming for the Bolts in this clip (I'm the one wearing the Power-Blue Gates jersey) http://s115.photobucket.com/albums/n314/Taldor/?action=view&current=MadMike.flv Lets Go Bolts!
