It's been 20 years since an NFL team featured two running backs with at least 1,000 yards in the same season. Chargers Head Coach Marty Schottenheimer had a first-hand account of the occasion, but his players hope that he doesn't get to see it happen this weekend.

Schottenheimer coached Cleveland's Earnest Byner (1,002 yards) and Kevin Mack (1,104 yards) to the feat with the Browns. Broncos running back Mike Anderson has 1,014 yards and will most likely miss Saturday's contest against the Chargers. Second-year back Tatum Bell is just around the corner from the coveted mark.

"We certainly hope we don't see that happen this weekend," linebacker Donnie Edwards said. "We take a lot of pride in shutting down the run. No one was happy what Larry Johnson did to us last week, so we're anxious to bounce back."</blockquote>
