    Homefield means nothing?

Chargers are now 19-6 at home over the past 3 seasons (including our playoff game).

    That's a 79% home winning percentage.

But, if there are other things to do in the city when there's no football going on, apparantly that means the fans don't care.

o well, if it's not one thing it's another. Chargers went 8-0 at home this season. The place will be plenty noisy. Don't worry.

Yeah, even though all home games have been sold out for two straight seasons now, and that's with a stadium that is larger than most, so the Chargers often have to sell 5,000+ more tickets than other places to achieve "SOLD OUT" status.

Sean Salisbury is annoying!!! He always talks like he was a Pro Bowl quarterback with a 10 year NFL career but he was just a back up for a few years.

San Diego is beautiful and not everybody is a football fan but there's enough here to seel out the stadium. What will Sean say after the playoffs hosted in San Diego?!!!!:icon_confused:

Salisbury was here for some of our worst seasons. Tell him to come to a playoff game and see if he feels the same way about our "laid back" fans.

    Salisbury is a douche...

I'm of the opinion that the real advantage of playing at home is being able to stay in your normal routine... You don't have to travel, you get to sleep in your own bed and be at home with your friends and family in your own time zone doing your thing.

I'm so tired of smelling the crap that shoots out of all the mouths of these so-called "experts".

Maybe just put these guys on once a week for half an hour so they don't have to make up "filler" talk to annoy all of us.

Who was the Chicago Cubs beat writer that said almost the same thing about us Padres fans back in 84?

He said we were a bunch of laid back white wine drinking group of surfers.

The only problem that I have with our home team is that they cant shut up in the red zone. I know we all want LT to get the ball but simmer down please.

Yes, they are not aware of the problems they are causing. They just want to shout L-T! over and over. It is every fans job to try to calm these hyper bandwagoners down when they get rowdy. I like to do the calm down arm waving thing.

Home Field means that we don't have to travel to Baltimore, New england, Indianapolis, Kansas City, New York...

So yeah, it does mean something. :ABQ2:

Just because I don't go home and milk a goat after the game doesnt mean I don't care. Salisbury didnt get love here in SD because he sucked. Rivers on the other hand has been and will benefit from our Home Field 12th man during the playoffs and for years to come.

Salisbury's just bitter because no one wanted to watch his sorry *** when he was with the Bolts.

Exactly. And there's no need to be a dick about it either. Just politely approach any fan who is making noise while the Bolts are on offense and knee him in the nuts.

    Dear Sean,

Seeing as you were on one of the worst Charger teams in the franchises existance, I can understand your stance on the fans of San Diego having better things to do than watch you put on another pathetic display of quarterbacking supremacy.

Maybe if you were "good" people might have "given a ****".

    Kill yourself you douchebag.

    Love,
    Humanity

Exactly. Even if we don't have the biggest home field advantage, at least we're not traveling somewhere and have a DISadvantage. Does anyone actually like Salisbury as an analyst? The guy never seems to complete a sentence, stutters constantly and is not funny at all. When he was doing sports talk radio in San Diego, he was utterly unlistenable.

Oh and... lately the Q has been louder than I've ever heard. Maybe I'm just showing up to these games more sober to actually notice the crowd noise.

Many in the media have begun jumping off the bandwagon even after we've won ten in a row. On Sirius today all I heard was how Marty can't win in the playoffs. I changed the station.

What's nice is fans of other teams that I talk know we're the real deal (especially those that have played us).

Whatever. I hope we put up over 40 points in our first playoff game just to shut these idiots up. :bolt2:
