Hotel near the Gaslamp

    I was just wondering what hotels are closest to the Gaslamp district. the KING/ ChargerqueenBee will be attending the Colts game and, I want something walking distance so after the bar/ club I will be able to walk back (hopefully). Nice too :tup:

    If I stay in the Gaslamp I stay at the Marriot on K street. Walking distance to bars and trolly. I use reward points so not sure the normal room rates. I imagine it is around $300 a night though, so depends on your budget. I am sure others will have some more choices.

    The Omni Hotel next to Petco Park would be a good choice. You can get drunk on 5th Ave and literally trip your way onto the hotel!!!

    I also heard there is a hotel with a lounge on the roof or something like that? :icon_shrug: anyone heard of such a thing?

    I think its the Mariott that has "Altitudes" on top. Plus, at the bottom, it has "Soleil on K", a nice restaurant with a bar.

    I think at least one other hotel has a lounge on top. Of course, on weekends, the Gaslamp teems with people and energy, specially after a baseball game. Although, since the season is over, I know it is still very lively.

    All kinds of places to go. Been in several of them.

    These are all high-end 5 star hotels. The Marriott, the Omni. I have girlfriends that have stayed at the Omni. They loved it.
    My neighbor works there.

    p88f, pretty much any of the hotels downtown are within walking distance of the gaslamp. Marriott, Hyatt, Omni, theres even a Hard Rock Hotel downtown.

    Those places are all like $300-350/night (more in some other cases) .. I guess you might find a deal but they are on the expensive side.

    Im thinkin $250+? Its a friggin nice hotel.

    You might be able to find good rates on Orbitz.

    Also, you don't HAVE to stay downtown. Just take a cab/trolley to get to the gaslamp.

    Is that open yet? Last game of the season-no where close. But they were working hard on it.

    I don't know if it is or not. It's been months since I heard anything about the HRH, so I guess Im only assuming it's there.
