I was just wondering what hotels are closest to the Gaslamp district. the KING/ ChargerqueenBee will be attending the Colts game and, I want something walking distance so after the bar/ club I will be able to walk back (hopefully). Nice too

If I stay in the Gaslamp I stay at the Marriot on K street. Walking distance to bars and trolly. I use reward points so not sure the normal room rates. I imagine it is around $300 a night though, so depends on your budget. I am sure others will have some more choices.

The Omni Hotel next to Petco Park would be a good choice. You can get drunk on 5th Ave and literally trip your way onto the hotel!!!

I think its the Mariott that has "Altitudes" on top. Plus, at the bottom, it has "Soleil on K", a nice restaurant with a bar.

I think at least one other hotel has a lounge on top. Of course, on weekends, the Gaslamp teems with people and energy, specially after a baseball game. Although, since the season is over, I know it is still very lively.

All kinds of places to go. Been in several of them.

These are all high-end 5 star hotels. The Marriott, the Omni. I have girlfriends that have stayed at the Omni. They loved it.
    My neighbor works there.

Those places are all like $300-350/night (more in some other cases) .. I guess you might find a deal but they are on the expensive side.

Also, you don't HAVE to stay downtown. Just take a cab/trolley to get to the gaslamp.

Is that open yet? Last game of the season-no where close. But they were working hard on it.

I don't know if it is or not. It's been months since I heard anything about the HRH, so I guess Im only assuming it's there.
