    I thought this was interesting...

Another reason LT is the beat running back to ever play the game! So far LT has had ZERO Pro Bowl caliber Offensive Linmen to run behind, nd yet he's done amazingling well with what he has to work with. Only WalterPayten exccelled in a similar situation. Here is a list of someof the great Runnign Backs of all time. Look at the Pro Bowl O-Lines they got to run behind. It's pretty telling.

NOTE: 2006 Probowl players haven't been announced yet.

How many Pro Bowl o-line men have the great runners had to run behind?

this is good stuff thumper. imo emmitt had one of the best lines in his day. but we should also include gale sayers- 4 pro bowls from 65 -71. he would join LT on the list as runningbacks w/o pro bowl OL, unless you count ditka...

Can anyone include rushing yards and touchdowns for these respective years? May shine a little more light on everything.

I.E. was 1984 the year dickerson broke the rushing recored? He had FOUR probowl linemen in 1985.

You are correct. That should have been Billy Shaw as OJ Simpson's only pro bowl o-lineman in 1969. I'll edit my orriginal post to reflect the correct name.

I hope so, but thus far LT has acomplished all that he has without every playing behind a probowl O-Lineman.

Yeah, '95 & '96 they sent 4 o-linemen to the probowl, and it wasn't the same 4 each year. Amazing. Just imagine what LT would have done behind that o-line.

Hey you know what would make it even better, to list the stats for the running back for the years that they ran behind pro bowl players...you know for further comparisons sake.
