than the other QB in the AFC to get pro bowl consideration?

Favre will get in just on rep alone (he is having an OK season)

Cutler, well, the media loves him and hypes him up

    Manning is, well, Manning

Even Rothlisberger is seen as better than Rivers

I've seen the media talk about Cutler and Brees as MVP candidates but nothing regarding the #1 rated QB in the league, why?

He plays for a west coast team. :icon_tease: He talks trash. His last name isn't Manning (in-breeding pays off :icon_twisted:). He has funky mechanics. :icon_huh: He came out of the ACC, a basketball conference.

It's an uphill battle for him, but all he does is win. Sooner or later that has to count for something.

    A ring would help.

I'll be pissed if ****ler makes it in. I watched that guy play last week and I don't think he progressed past his first read a single time. As soon as he dropped back you could tell who he was throwing to because he was locked on the whole way there, even if it meant throwing into triple coverage. He is the classic all arm/no brain quarterback. He's in trouble now that teams know they can just bracket Marshall and Cutler will still try to force him the ball.

All Philip has to do is play the next 10 games at the level he has the last 6 games and the rest will take care of itself.

He is #1 in QB passing percentage. If the rest of the team steps up, that means more wins and good stats for Philip. A playoff berth wouldn't hurt either.

Philip goes to the Pro Bowl if he continues on the pace he has.:abq2::bolt:

Remember that Rivers already has a probowl berth (2006) but with the way the media sees him and how it sees other AFC QB I think he has to really outperformed them

Yep. All this talk about who is going to the pro bowl is awfully premature. Wait till the season unfolds. If Rivers keeps lighting 'em up like he has been, then people will have to notice. He can go a long way by shining against the Bills and the head to head against Brees will really define the season for these two. Brees has a hot hand and the Chargers D is going to be seriously challenged.

If the fans don't vote him in, the coaches will.

All he has to do is keep winning.
