Ya but Chambers, according to this guy, is old.

I guess everyone near the age of 27 and older should just retire. There goes more than half the NFL.

He is not an expert, there is no way he is. This is some blog or something from a fan who knows very little about football.

Ya if they contain LT, and if this and if that. Ya if hell freezes over the Raiders can go to the superbowl. Both have an equal chance of happening.

So if the Raiders beat the Chargers and Patriots I guess this guy is calling the superbowl already with the Raiders winning over the... Texans.

Sergio forgot to add that Al Davis is certain to be less senile and meddlesome as the upcoming season progresses. :icon_rofl:

This guy must live in the basement of his mom's house and get all his football info from her too.

I didn't realize refrigerator boxes had basements. Good to know.
This guy is smoking crack in his mom's basement. I'd really go out on a limb and say the raiders drop against Denver and Buffalo. Their momentum will be going the other direction when they get the Chargers.

I love how he so readily dismisses the Bills because "they don't have much of a team to speak of", yet fails to remember the Bills won 3 more games last season than Oakland did.

Raider fans are so g'damn delusional it's funny,.

    Writing them off?

All you hear about is how the Raiders are suppose to be so improved this season. They're never suppose to have a bad season.

This article is just a bunch of wishful thinking anyway. Just like they keep saying how horrible Rivers is.

As far as I'm concerned, they had ONE bragging moment. And that was the interception return they got on Rivers.
That was also before Chambers was on the team!

If the Raiders really want to beat the Chargers, their best shot is to prevent the Bolts' team bus from entering the stadium parking lot...

I do beleive the Raiders will be the 'most difficult' of the AFC West teams because right now, on paper, they have a better roster then the Broncos or Chiefs. So I don't think we should just laugh them off like we've done for the past two years. However I do not believe they are talented enough or capable of beating us.

Btw to Mr. Raider delusionist, you might want to research the team your writing an article on

You never laugh your opponent off no matter how much the odds are in your favor. Though I still say they'll finish 4-12.
    If they're extremely lucky... 5-11.

Later on in the comments section, that guy Sergio says he is professional when he writes his stories....

I think it is more accurate to say he is drunk and uninformed when he writes his fairy tales. What an embarrassment. Are there any decent Raider fans?

    Well said floridaboltfan!

I'd never heard of Bleacher Report before, and now I know why. In an attempt to figure out what the site is all about, I clicked on "Top Writers", and reading their bios, almost all are school age - which makes their term of "Senior Writer" somewhat of an oxymoron. Sad as it may seem, the guy who wrote this article has more credentials than most of the other 'writers' on that site, having been "a former Sports Editor for a college newspaper and online site."

So any team can beat any other team on any given Sunday! Wow, somebody alert the national media!

I also had to laugh when I saw another similarly titled article, "Why Brett Favre Could End Up In Oakland."

Note to Faider Nation: try putting together a winning season before you go talking smack, and try living in the present rather than in the past.

Every bit of that argument revolvs around his hope that LT and Gates are injured for the game.

The optimists hope this is the year Oakland tops the AFC West. Paul Peszko is not sold yet.

Peszko uses the word "optimists" - I have another which is probably more accurate. ;)

The Raiders could beat the Chargers....if the ENTIRE Charger team is hung over MAYBE...and even then it would be close.
