Okay, not all fans........my two boys are Pats fans and so are most of my friends.

I hate the idiots that can't get past their provincialism. I had to listen to mindless people on sports radio drone on about Brady's contract all day.

He's going to get paid, eventually, as long as he continues to produce. He's coming off a significant knee injury. They aren't going to throw money at him for the hell of it.

I hope he bounces back and earns top dollar.

Now now, be nice Boltz. Let the man complete at least one game. Anything to happen to him after the 1st game, well that's just unfortunate.

I never had a high opinion of Boston fans, but it will never recover from the **** that they talked on the radio about Rivers two years ago. Making fun of him for his choices and beliefs is unacceptable.

I forget who of ours was on their radio station when they were doing it (sorry), but they made it very clear that they are buffoons.

I don't need more of a reason to dislike fans in Boston but here's my top 3

    1. That ****ing retarded radio show I went on
    2. The Red Soxs
    3. The smug air of how Boston fans are better then anyone and everyone else, even though they were doormats for the better part of thirty years (Pats) or 100 years (Red Soxs)

Bingo! You would think that a fan base that has been the b*tches of Yankee fans forever would have SOME humility once they finally won. But instead, they have BECOME Yankee fans.

Sorry I forgot it was you, Ant. That was such pure BS and any Boston fan with an ounce of honor should apologize to you for their behavior.

I wish I heard it, but I did not.

You can't expect anything else when you call a sports radio station. It's a bunch of fat wanna be athletes or over the hill athletes with a chip on their shoulder that you'll be talking to.

What did they do or say?

What do you hate about the Red Sox?

I'm not saying we're better fans......but we're VERY loyal fans, especially when you talk about the Red Sox. People followed the Sox even when we couldn't win.

You have to admit, Sox fans travel everywhere to watch them play. Not many franchises in any sport can rival our willingness to travel.

The general superior attitude when talking (down) to fans of teams that haven't won a championship. I would hope as a fan of two teams that haven't won dick, that IF they ever do win, I won't act like a jerkoff to any fan I talk to who's team hasn't won.

You would think pro sports were created after 2001 when talking to Red Sox/Pats fans. You probably don't see it because you are too close.

Loyalty is one thing, but an excessively high opinion of themselves and a complete sense of superiority is another. Went to the last Pads-Red Sox series here and the Red Sox fans acted not like they owned the place but that San diego was beneath them and their fans were pieces of ****. Seen that at Angels games as well, Red Sox fans rank up there with Cub fans for excessive pride.

And I didn't go on a Boston sports radio show went on some jackass's show called Mantown. He's like a wanna be howard stern, wanted to smack him and Epps around

Lived in Carlisle, MA from July 1999-July 2003. The first year we lived there the Pats didn't do much but after that Drew got hurt, Brady took over, and the rest is history. Even when they were bad their radio stations did nothing but badmouth every other team and their "stars".

I was born in CO but lived near KC all my life. I followed the Chiefs and the Patriots then. I love the helmet that you have in your gun sight.

I deal w/ more Sox fans than Pats fans in PA. Both of em suck of course. LotI I'm a Yanks fan and I don't have a big problem w/ Sox.

Both times I went to Foxboro, the Pats fans try their best to get under your skin b4 you even get into the stadium. Loved every minute of that 41-17 thrashing the Bolts gave em
    in '05!!

Maybe I am too close, I don't really see that.

Most of my friends are too busy having fun to jerk other fans around, unless the other fans start the trash talk.

I was in SD for the Sox/Padres games. I had a blast. None of us attacked, or belittled any Padres fan. I will tell you, though, that we ended up congregating in the concourse down the left field line towards the end of the game. We had a pretty loud "LETS GO RED SOX" chant going, but we weren't picking on anyone. There was one Padres fan that was yelling and screaming at us.......check that......REALLY WHINING at us to be quiet. It was pretty silly of him.

Okay, that explains it, you were on Greg Hill's show. He's a complete tool! I deal with him for work a lot. We're NOT the best of friends. He has his cast of characters that think they're celebrities. I don't like talking to him, and, we share the same love of the Sox/Pats.

I was at the Padres/Sox series with 30+ people and not once did we pull a superiority complex on anyone. We pounded drinks at the beach and stopped in to Dick's Last Resort because our old friend from Boston runs it.

Not to mention that they truely believe they are entitled to win. All they do is piss and moan and then finally the sox won a series. Thanks to David Roberts ( Vista native) and his stolen base by the way. Boston fans are pathetic.

entitled: (verb) to give (a person or thing) a title, right, or claim to something; furnish with grounds for laying claim.

By definition, I'm guessing you feel "entitled" to win a Championship in SD as well.........or are you in it for the tailgating?

I'm just going to guess that you personally heard very little moaning by Sox fans during the 86 years we went without a championship. You appear to be one of those paint by numbers guys that specializes in generalization.......

I love Dave Roberts, by the way.

    He got hurt last night.

Actually, I think both teams starting QB's got hurt. Both hits seemed legal to me.

My hatred stems from how annoying their accents become after a six pack of sam adams, most obnoxious f*****g noise in the land.

Also their ****** attendence prior to 2001, eat S**t and die bean baking *****es.

At least we don't recognize "DUDE" as an acceptable form of punctuation..............:icon_tease:

To be fair, our attendence began to climb in 1993 when Bill Parcells came on the scene. Our old stadium was far worse than a majority of the Div. 1AA programs out there. I can attest to the fact that it was a horrible, sub-standard, uncomfortable place to watch a game. Still, the fans began to show up and suffer through the experience.

    Obviously the Super Bowl helped.

Now, with the new stadium, it's a great place to watch the game.
