    From the SDUT:

"Turner said he anticipated receiver Buster Davis will see his first action of the season on Sunday."

Anticipated is the key word obviously....even Norvall knows that it's not a guarantee.

I gave up on this guy about week 4 of this year...I know, I held out for awhile...

When did you give up on the Bust?

I was convinced when he essentially changed his name from Craig to Bust after we drafted him.

Don't worry, Kwak, Bust will always have a place on this team thanks to his unique skillset.

After all, not everyone can scrub bathroom floors so clean that you can eat off them.

I'm hopeful for him too. I remember certain Vincent Jacksons and Malcom Floyds being injured loads their first 2 years too. No way I'm giving up on him. When he has been healthy and involved in the game he has flashed potential.

Like I said somewhere else, if we're gonna sit PR early let's have Volek and esp Whitehurst pass pass pass. We need to know that they can. This would mean Buster might get an opportunity to shine.

    ...for the inactive streak?

No, I think Davis was fun to watch down in the bayou and I'm looking forward to seeing him perform against the Redskins.

He'll probably pull a hamstring or a groin muscle putting his cleats on.

What bugs me about the guy is that when I have seen him on the field he shows he has great hands and runs good routes. I am curious as to what his great "failing" is? (Not buying the china doll theory). I did not see him play much at LSU, but the LSU fans I have talked to thought he was a very good WR.

Wonder if our LSU fans are still around to comment on his time at LSU.

I hope he has a huge game this Sunday. 6 Catches and a TD. That would be awesome.

Go Buster! I'm rooting for you to succeed.

Two words, showcase talent. If he can do that, more power to him. The Bolts management in the big office must still see something in the guy to keep him on. Just think that if the fans made personnel decisions, we would have less than a quarter of the team left...

I hope he has a great game, as a Charger fan why wouldn't you? Gives you more flexibility and options.

But if he doesn't Byrd may take his spot next season. We'll see though. I still have hope, the guy has skills just never really had a shot (either through benching or injuries).

Kevin Acee reported this afternoon that Buster Davis has received a severe paper cut while opening his paycheck and is listed as questionable for the game on Sunday.

Maybe if Whitehurst goes at season end they could stick Banks in as the 3rd QB and he could double up as a WR. He was a QB before switching to receiver in college.

Just a thought (under the influence of Heineken I might add).
