Says Boston College OT Gosder Cherilus, “I’m not a dirty player, I play hard. There’s a difference. I played four years in college and never had a personal foul. It’s nothing personal. Just football.”

Sounds like a great replacement at RT

He'll be off the board before we pick.

He's a perfect person to team with McNeil

His stock is rising. I would be luck if he fell to the bolts.

If he's there, pick him definately. But if not, pick Jonanthan Stewart, Oregen Running back. I would love Cherilus though. McNeil and Cherlius bookends. Nice.

I'd like to retract my earlier post about Cherilus.

I was watching some film on him on ESPN U when they were showing the draftable Boston College players and it was not impressive at all. He has all of the intangibles to play RT or even LT but he plays completely upright, gets bullrushed and get run around. Additionally on his "blocks" he attempts to make a huge haymaker block and whiffed quite a few times.

    And these were his "highlights"!

Honestly, check out the film on this guy, it's not very impressive. I think scouts are falling in love with this guy because of his prototypical size and physical tools, not his performance.

He was alot more impressive when he played right tackle as opposed to this past year at left tackle where it was obvious he was overmatched

as far as Stewart goes, he'll be off the board for sure, and if not then he'll be a good reason to trade down

I'm not a Cherilous guy, either. He appears clumsy in much of the footage that I've seen of him. I want beef, but really don't think that he's worth our 1st round pick. I'd rather trade down & get our OL later - someone like Nicks, Collins, Duane Brown, Baker to name a few.

I'm glad someone agrees, watching his highlights reminded me of big ole CVB (remember him?)

AJ will hold our pick until he sees how the board has cleared. Someone will probably bite. If so, then I have a reason to stay tuned after the 27th pick. If your team is not involved, watching the draft is like the way Erica Jong described porn. "After the first ten minutes I want to go home and screw. After the first twenty minutes I never want to screw again for as long as I live".
