I miss how he always comes up with pathetic excuses. I miss his stupid catchphrases. I miss 'one play at a time'. I miss his old school conservative playcalling. I miss guessing what he will do on 4th and 1 and the opponent's 40 yard line down by 10 points but knowing in my heart what he will do. I miss his feud with AJ. I miss his father/son relationship with his players. I miss his hopeless romantic style superbowl pursuit.

    GAWD I miss you MORTY!!!!

Problem is, I don't think his goombahs have enough juice to reach all the way to SoCal.

I don't miss him. With new coordinators on his side he wouldn't be
better. All coaches watched LT and PR videos in the offseason
after this two games I hope ther's something new and progressive
    in the playbook.

I can't imagine what things would be like with three Schottenheimers on the staff.

Marty still wouldn't let the other two talk - I'm sure he still considers it his personal job to bore the fans to tears. Cleveland may find out next year.

Marty would go on about the human heart, the willpower, this that and the other thing. But he wasn't calling the plays.

They'll go after Cowher or even Parcells before they touch Marty with your di*k.

    I know the fans would.

The Brownie fans on their fan forums are saying that if Crennel gets fired by Savage, they want Marty back.

They don't care if his teams phacked up in the playoffs, at least getting there was good enough compared to the suckage they've experienced since his departure.

Their standards are so low right now, that a winning season from Marty would make him a hero in their eyes.

Win a division title, and he's their GAWD.

But this wouldn't be the aim in San Diego,

Bolts fan are bound for wins in the playoffs.

Cleveland may have saved Crennel's job with their showing the other day. Lots of points and they beat a divisional opponent. 7-9 will probably save Crennel's job, especially if he can work Quinn into the lineup with that record.

4-6 wins ..... and Crennel is probably a goner.

Marty? He'd have a familiar face at OC, with former Chargers TE coach Rob Chudzinski (sp?) there. Also, Marty has ran both one gap and two gap 3-4 defenses over the years, and currently the Crayons run the NE style two gap 3-4. It wouldn't take much to change to the Bum/Wade one gap 3-4, but finding a qualified DC might be a hindrance (... and Kurt S isn't qualified to run that D).

I hope Marty doesn't return to the NFL as a head coach next year, as we'd see a few more of our assistants poached if that were to happen.

If we allowed him permission to talk to them. Somehow I don't see AJ letting that fly.

"Hello, AJ? This is Marty Schott.." CLICK.

    Conversation OVER.
