In the preseason I questioned AJ. The logic of firing Marty, the hiring or Nor, Teddy and some of the staff. I questioned as to whether Aj was letting his ego get the better of him.

As I saw it, AJ was getting a yes man, the coach who would do what AJ wanted, when AJ wanted it. A puppet coach if you will.

I said that come mini camp I would support the head coach because then he was officially a Chargers. I tried but every chance I got as the season started badly I would point out what was wrong with the coaching staff. Much of my ire went over to Teddy Cottrell because he was running a vanilla Defense as far as I was concerned.

It was the Indy game where I realized the team was gelling. I also noticed that Norv seemed Confident on the sidelines. Teddy Cottrell was communicating well with his corps, and the Chargers started firing on all cylinders.

Norv on the sidelines this past weekend showed confidence and intensity. He has done a good job with the team. Teddy has done a good job with his side of the ball.

Teach me to be an arm chair GM…

We forgive you, as many here made the same mistake of questioning AJ. Now you need to re focus your apologetic state into a typhoon of pure hatred, then embrace it.

We have bigger fish to fry than making family eat crow this week.

Guilty as charged as well. I too admit hitting the panic button at 1-3. I can't say that I wouldn't have been chanting Marty Marty myself from the stands but the fact of the matter is that Norv Turner and his staff has proven me and many others wrong.

I actually like the fact that to a man, every Charger I heard talk about the marty chants were ticked off.

That tells me they were behind their coach and motivated by him.

As much as I disliked Marty, I so wanted him to prove me wrong.

Wow, AJ firing Marty, you didnt like Rivers over Brees, didnt like Cromartie.............Maybe you should buy into our "in AJ we trust" motto ;)

I liked all the moves except i HATED the Ted hiring and he has proved me wrong but you know.....i still dont have 100% faith in him.

He MUST get pressure on Brady or we wont win this game.

Well ok, i wasnt to ig on Norv either but in AJ i DO trust!

Yup. You are correct I can not deny or mitigate what you say, it is true. One by one I have had to say I was wrong. Rivers has proven to be a good growing into GREAT QB. Cromartie has become my favorite Charger player. But I do man up when I am wrong. This thread is it for the last series of transgressions.

Now Norv has won my respect, and proven to me that his stents in Washington and Chokeland were not the sum of his ability.

IN AJ I TRUST. Fool me once shame on you, Fool me twice shame on me. Fool me the third time and it is time for me to learn from it...

    IN AJ I TRUST!

The only thing I questioned AJ on was not re-signing KMac. I thot he was a huge influence on our young receiving corps, but Chris Chambers has taken care of that.

You people are getting to become copycat pathetics.

Wrong was allowing the doctor to tie off your umbilical cord but that is another story.

You just need to follow the teachings of the prophet (me) and stop listening to all the dickheads. :abq2:

A.J was asked in an interview an interesting question around our 1-3 record earlier this year.

He was asked "some of your most ardent fan supporters are now turning on you AJ, what is your reaction to all of this?"

A.J. replied "it does not bother me because those same fans will be cheering when we win" and the brother is right.

He has been in this game a long time and knows about the fickle fan syndrome (not to be confused with the Fickled Finger of Fate from Rowan and Martins Laugh-in").

f'n aj should be gm of the year again this year and norval should be coach of year IMO.

I don’t know a Charger fan that did not think AJ lost his mind…including me. Now we know AJ is the guiding light. I believe AJ forgives our weakness of support for his greatness, and would now want us to concentrate our energy on HATE FOR THE PATRIOTS!!!!

So far, AJ has taken some major gambles but they've all ending up in his favor!!!

First big gamble that paid off... Drafting Eli under the unusual circumstances!!!

Second... Drafting Antonio Cromartie considering he missed his whole last year of college and unsure of his health.

Third... Bringing in Norv and Ted when both of them had a less than stella resume.

The only mistake he's made so far was Sammy Davis.
    Nobody's perfect.

Prophet? You?! Mor like Judas. For a handful of rep you wanted your chosen one nailed to the pine.

Your faith is weak, your mind addled. You have penance to do before you ever think to use the term prophet!
