He had his chance to stay. But the money offered wasn't good enough.

Edwards would be gone now regardless. He wouldn't be able to compete with the talent we have now. He's long in the tooth.

In a seriousness.. why all the hate for Donnie?
I mean... I know that he shouldn't have gone public about his dissatisfaction about his contract but that was spilled milk as far as I'm concerned.

Some of you are treating the situation like is was TO speaking up about the Eagles. It sure as Hell was NOT that!!!!!!

Ya Donnies has done so well with the Chiefs...

He is old and was injured last year. I rather have almost anyone, but Edwards.

I like Donnie. He gave his best everytime he suited up. He cannot keep up with Tucker, Siler, and the new, young studs we have now. Time, age have caught up with him.

I'lltake the young guys we have now.

And last year Donnie and the rest of the KC LB's couldn't stop LT. If he couldn't do that last year, what the hell makes ANYONE think he could stop any RB this year?

there is no way you can say age was a factor with Edwards. Edwards game was, and is point! There is a reason why more then half of this forum did not post to this, because they are bandwagon fans and don't even know who Edwards is. Donnie Edwards people. You guys wouldn't be crying about Wilhelm if Edwards was still in his spot. I remember when Wilhelm would sub for Edwards. I will admit he looked sharp! but it seems now he is playing with no heart or pride.

We are better off without him. I appreciated his time with the Chargers, but was not sad to see him go. Age creeps up on everyone sooner or later.

I don't hate Donnie, he contributed when he was here, but age and wear and tear has put him out of the game. The young guys have got to step up.
