that was a watered down version of the nWo. Still a good feud, though.

the nWo was the best in WCW when it first started. At least until it got over bloated and old.

DX was best when it was HHH and HBK and they were heels.

When HBK left and the Outlaws joined and they had to pander to the crowd as faces they lost some of the edge that made them great (but were still funny).

The PG DX redux of recent years sucked.

I fully believe the only reason WWE still makes money is that no matter how crappy the product on TV gets it's still fun to attend live. And ticket sales is where they make the most money.

I went to Smackdown last Tuesday. The storyline progression was as bland as it's always been for about a decade now, but I still enjoyed myself because it was a live event.

Eh. That was back when they tried to pass it off as real, thereby limiting the storylines to "you suck, I'm going to beat you!" while trying to pass the production off as a legitimate sport when it's not one.

Attitude era was the perfect mix of good storylines, funny jokes, and still having actual (choreographed) wrestling.

Maybe to you but before cable and color TV it was great. Freddy Blassie going on the Regis Philbin radio show in San Diego and tearing up the studio made it all hometown. Just as the NFL is today, it wasn't the same game back then. Football in the 70's make these boy's today look like pussies.

    lol, that's awesome.

I used to watch all that stuff, sometimes still do, but it's not as fun. And X-pac ruined DX:confused:

But you still spend a lot of your adult life watching and talking about other people playing a game for a living.

IMO, the only reason they went PG was Linda started getting more involved in politics and they didn't want something that happened on the show to be held against her on the campaign

That's pretty much what I felt as well. Even with it being PG her opponents were using the product against her, so it's kind of obvious.

Yes, an actual sport. If I was my current age and talking about steroid fueled soap operas, that would be entirely different.

So, I take it you don't watch movies?

It's funny you mention steroids, though. Because football players never take steroids.

Right. But I'm not sure whether SL is a baseball fan or not.

The point was that it's kind of hypocritical for a football fan to belittle another industry's fans for liking that industry even though they use steroids.

    Agreed.

I would venture that WWE has a stricter policy than the NFL anyway. Last thing I heard was that there were still problems implementing a testing system after the new CBA was finalized. I can't remember what the status of that is off hand.

Because if I refer to Pro Wrestling as "steroid fueled soap operas" I am saying that steroids only exist there.

I do. But I definitely don't watch movies geared toward 12-year olds.
