Im just not feeling too optimistic about this team anymore...

AJ defends Norv to the death...

    Our O-line sucks without Nick...

    D-line sucks without Jamal...

LT is officially the horse ready for the glue factory...

And I dont see this getting any better any time soon...

As another poster on here put it to me once, theres dark clouds on the horizon for this club too...Dont know what we're going to do with our club this offseason...Dont know where to start...so many questions to answer....

I could go on and on...but Im positive its going to be tough ride for us for years to come.....AGAIN...

Either way, Im throwing the towel on this season and preparing for the possibility of a return to mediocrity...

    And I dont like it...:(

Im not even angry...Im actually saddened by this...I was enjoying watching us play again...

    Wait until tomorrow's trade deadline.

A.J. may say eff it and pull a trade for some meat up front otherwise; face it, the 3-4 does not work without Jamal. Our worst nightmare has unfolded.....but will A.J. work his mojo?

I agree, I know some smart *** will say "don't let the door hit you in the *** on your way out" but why watch a team that has no passion?

I swear if I had Merrimans body I play my heart out 110% of the time.

I dont know dude..under AJ's clock I've never known that to be...a blockbuster move would be welcome but he doenst even take free agency serious...I seriously doubt he takes the trade deadline serious...

if so, I'd be shocked to say the least, but would it be something that blows me away?

Not sure, nor am I sure we can right the ship..

This **** is starting to burnwhere usually I furious...now Im just depressed and saddened...

I hope you guys aren't saying we should just tank the rest of the season but I agree that it's going to be basically impossible to make the playoffs.

Its easy to say that but damn its so much harder to do...

man..i spent most of my life watching horrible play from us and lackluster to mediocre seasons...since i was in 6th grade in 1992...

i was real happy to see this team actually be respectable for a while...now it looks like with all the contracs and holes to fill now and comin up soon...i'd like to be optimistic...and im usually one to give a pass to the coach..but this situation really tears at my soul..

How have i grown to be one who blames the coach? I ever have untilthis guy...

How can i just concede defeat this early? I never have until this guy...

words cannot describe this...I dont know how I'll be able to sit through such gutwrencheing losses and heartbreaks man...I really thought we still could run our division...im not seeing it now..and f we cant do that...the season is lost...

damn man..PR is the only thing i have to rally around and i hate seeing him suffer these losses because he is one of the best...

i can go on and on about the problems i see ahead but im sure yall can too...

I'm paying hundreds for Direct TV and the Redzone, and there's no way in hell I won't be watching every game. It just means that I can lower my expectation level, and raise the drinking level :icon_party:

    I don't think it's that bad:

The offense is good enough (a RT, the maturation of Vazquez, Hardwick coming back and maybe a RB in the draft and walla)

    Rebuild the defense

Bring in a strong coach with the right attitude and this team can come back to elite status next year

If Rivers doesn't get some protection we could lose him to injury again. Everytime he threw the ball with arms all over him tonight, I could just see his shoulder being popped:no: How great was Antonio Gates though? All these guys that play great on offense are on the wrong team. So sad to admit. What happened to our pass rush. :icon_shrug:

All the way honest...I want Coach John Gruden for this team...I really think he could be the coach we need...but as far as personnel...

I dont know...sproles is gone after this year...we need a RB, DT, and alot more...

    Think ONLY TRENCHES.

    Please.

    Forget all other positions.

    Seriously.

    RB's are a dime a dozen.

When you have holes large enough even your grandma will get positive yardage.

I dunno.....I like Gruden but he won a super bowl with a Tony Dungy team. Then they proceeded to fall off the face of the earth after that. But I will take him over Norval anyday of the week.

He also built the Faiders into a superbowl caliber team under the eye of the Cryptkeeper. He had no QB to work with in Tampa, where as he'd have a great one here in SD.

Who was it on this board that wanted Knoshon? Too bad we couldn't have gotten him.

I totally agree...our o-line is horrible, cant protect the Qb, can't open a freaking hole if their life depended on it. Or D-line can't put pressure on the QB! We have no chance without significant improvment up front!

At first I believed that we would survive the loss of Williams and Hardwick. But your right Trumpie. It's all about the missing beef up front. I guess the only thing we could hope for is some miracle trade or our guys getting better as the season goes.

I know I DEFINITELY made an argument why we should get Knowshon..his running style resmebles a young LT to me...as much as I'd like to believe Trumpet's theory on RB's I think we all can agree you dont come across a young LT in his prime so easily nor can I say LT's whole career is based on O-line play even tho it is important...

Iono man...it's gonne be tought convincing myself to watch the rest of this season the way this team is playing..even more the way this team is losing...

It's the way we lost, Conc......Arse handed to us on every level, even when we won.

Pitt kinda had their way with us.
