    JACKSON, Miss. – Drew Brees was in a no-nonsense, all-business mood yesterday after his first official practice with the New Orleans Saints.

    Positioned beneath a towering tree on a grassy incline at Millsaps College, he spoke in even tones and succinct sentences. He said his surgically repaired throwing shoulder felt great, that he has been cleared to take hits, that he plans to be in the lineup for the season opener and that he's eager to work with Reggie Bush, the team's unsigned top draft choice.</blockquote>
