Runyan will not play this week. But you can't keep hoping that he plays and he's rusty. :icon_shrug:

I would be more scared of facing a rusty Runyan than a scrub third string tackle. If Runyan doesn't play, Rivers will be under consistent pressure Sunday. He may be anyway.

IMHO of course. I have been wrong before, just look at my avatar.

Who do you think is gonna block Hali when he moves over to the strong side?

Whats the deal with the rest of these guys? Are they really hurt, or are they just getting rested?

Hey Boss man who we gotta worry about coming over our RT?, is it Hali?. I am not convinced Big Dom is gonna be able to hold his own out there. Look for Manu to spend alot of time over there even though I think his blocking has deteoriated the last 2 yrs.

All the others are nicked up as far as I know they will all play.

Our RT will get help from the backs / Tight Ends if necessary

The injuries you listed are nagging injuries that won't heal fully without rest, but I'm pretty sure they will all suit and play on Sunday.

KC is playing better than in our last meeting...but so are the Chargers! It should be a good game.

U know what concerns me most. Chris Chambers. He always had our no. when he was a Dolphin. I hope he doesn't come back to haunt us.

Dombrowski is not a third string scrub. He is first year player that is strong and agile but lacking some in experience and technique. I don't think he will be all that bad and they will use a TE or back to chip block and help him if they think it is necessary.

Most of these guys have been on the injury report every week. Castillo is the least likely to play with a foot injury. According to the UT, Vincent Jackson is getting his ribs x-rayed, but he says he will play. Merriman and Phillips will be a go for sure.

I don't think the Chiefs are going to get the "constant pressure" you expect. They are one of the worst teams in the league at pressuring the QB. I expect the Chargers will slide their protection to help Dombrowski and play two tight ends more often. At the end of the day, Rivers uniform will be clean, and the Chiefs will be humbled once again. :icon_banana:

Not having Bowe on the other side should help.

Chiefs fans are all buzzed after beating "the Super Bowl Champs". They seem to think it shows how they are on the rise and will contend in the AFC West next year.

Given of course that they got outgained by 300yds, that Polamalu wasn't playing and that Big Ben got injured in OT and they had to rely on Charlie friggin Batch.

Once again, this is the information that links to the spread. And it seems like there's a lot of "playin' possum" this week.

Vegas puts the Chargers at, or just under, 14 point favorites. Would we give up two TDs at home?

There are no gimmes in the NFL.

While I think this game should be easily winnable for our Bolts I hope the players aren't taking it as lightly as us fans are.

The Colts at St. Louis was a gimme, but I know what you mean.

I feel good about this one, and the good guys cover a large spread.

If Castillo does not play, I have no doubts in my mind that Travis can fill in and provide a strong, physical, run-stopping presence on the end.

    Besides, going from a 6-man to a 5-man rotation isn't a huge shift, anyway.

It's easy to say that after the fact.

It was just as easy to say that about the Saints and Rams and the Rams almost won.

Neh, it was pretty easy to give the Colts a "13" in the confidence pool.

The Chiefs blew the element of surprise by beating PIT last week.

    No trap game here.

This is true, but that doesn't make the game a gimme.

I stand corrected. The Rams weren't a 3 inch putt.

Id be happy if you guys are missing Merriman, Castillo and Hardwick.

It might give us some opertunities that we otherwise wouldnt have.

I wonder if they sit Merriman and start playing English more around this point of the year going into the playoffs. I bet AJ is pushing for it so they can get a long look ot the Rook to help decide what to do in the offseason with the SM situation.

    I hope anyway.

Denver's still too close to start sitting players as a luxury.

Not really a luxury, they drafted him in the first round to start.

Teams often air on the side of caution and go with the young guys around this point of the year because you cant recreate the level of competition at other points in the year, its a learning experience that the team learns as much about the player as the player learns about the game.

They have a huge business decision to make in the offseason. They wont resign him if English shows that he can perform at a high level already. It also lets teams "save" an elite player for the playoffs. It is somewhat common practice.

    Vincent Jackson
    Marcus McNiel
    Shawne Merriman

I think there is one more high profile player they have to re-sign (Jammer?) after this year is up and they cant afford all of them.

    Should be interesting.

I doubt Merriman is still a Charger next year.
